221(g) letter for missing documents - Palestine

Timeline

On 18 May 2018 I had my interview at Jerusalem consulate (I am West Bank Palestinian) for my green card visa (F1), when the interview was done they gave me a white sheet stating on the top:

"This office regrets to inform you that your visa application is refused because you have ineligible to receive a visa under the following section(s) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The information contained in the paragraphs marked with "X' Pertains to your visa application. Please disregard the unmarked paragraphs. X   Section 221(g) you must submit the following documents: ........."  then  list of the needed documents followed (this was my mistake as I submitted black and white copies for some documents, take the originals with you)

On 24 May I submitted the documents by hand (I faced a huge delay and irresponsible behavior by Wasel and I recommend if people have access to Jerusalem to drop the documents by hand)

Date updated on CEAC: 24 May

Until now the status on CEAC remains Administrative Process, but strange enough the text in the description does not exactly read as other consulates' text, I mean the word "Administrative" is omitted from the description. It just reads " necessary processing". Following is the full description for my status:

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary processing, which can take several weeks or even months. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted..."

It seems that my case is not really administrative processing, but the title of the status refers to the necessary admin work needed to complete my case.

I am posting this topic for two reasons:

1) there is very little info about such cases especially at Jerusalem consulate (now embassy), so I am keeping this for future record

2) to ask if anyone passed such experience, and what were the next steps and timeline

Will update this topic when my status changes.

Hi,

Thank you for posting this. I really need this one. I also received the same information but They emailed me and I have no idea what does it mean paragraph marked with "X". What did it say where the paragraph was marked with "X". was it missing documents or anything else. It would mean so much to me if i can get response.

Did you receive the status change?

Thank you
