A family friend is going to be sponsoring 3 out of 5 in my family. He is gonna sponsor my mom and little brothers.

Me and my 17 year old brother our father the petitioner is gonna sponsor us.

now we’re at the step of submitting documents to nvc. What docs do we need to submit. And do we attach the aos with our emails to nvc? And how do we do the aos? Do we fill it out online? Using Microsoft word or we print it and hand write it then scan and send it?

Do we send the joint sponsor papers with my mom docs to nvc ? How many people can the joint sponsor take responsibility of?

The petitioner will always be the main sponsor for those they are petitioning. I have never heard of petitioner and joint sponsor on choosing who they want to sponsor in a petition. I would call USCIS and ask about that but I'm 99% sure the joint sponsor is also responsible for everyone on the peition as well as the petitioner. As for your other questions, the only thing I know how to answer for sure is that all forms are found online. Both petitioner and joint sponsor needs to fill out their own I-864 for affadavit of support with supporting documents. It can be typed or printed (written in BLACK ink). A joint sponsor can sponsor as many people as they want as long as they make the required amount (also found online).

hi

no,  your dad can't choose, he can get more than one joint sponsor, but on your dad's i864 as the primary sponsor, he must be the sponsor for all of them

he will put down the beneficiary and all the children on his i864. since he can't cover all of them, he will need a joint sponsor or joint sponsors

there can be several joint sponsors, who can cover 2 or 3, they can be split. When my brother filed for his wife and child, I only sponsored my nephew, I didn't make enough to cover both

But wait so my father should sponsor all of us and also add joint sponsor papers with each and every on of us? Or only the ones the joint sponsor is sponsoring should attach his paper with?

no, your father will put all of you on his i864

if the friend will be the joint sponsor of 3 out of 5, then he will need to find another joint sponsor who can cover the other 2.

the 3 out of 5 that the family friend will joint sponsor will all be on one i864 and another i864 is needed for the other 2
