Original AOS Submission REJECTED - What to write on the envelope of the next submission?

Hello everyone!

My first AOS submission was rejected due to a typo error in one of the forms. So I am resending it. But what do I write on the envelope and cover letter, since it's not an original submission anymore... Any ideas?

Thanks for any replies!

How did USCIS know it was a typo? What did their letter say?

My AOS got rejected once due to the wrong fee amount. I sent everything back the way it was sent to me and I wrote by hand on their paper that I'm resubmitting my petition with the correct fee amount. I left everything in the packet how they had worked it (with staples and all).

Good luck

On my EAD sheet, I wrote A6 instead of A06 . So they sent me back my entire package with the green slip and everything. I decided to reprint all my forms though, I just finished and I was putting together my envelope and realized I didnt know what to write on it , since the first one said ORIGINAL SUBMISSION OF FORM I-485.  Should I just write RE-SUBMISSION OF FORM I-485 on the outside of the envelope?

The category for an EAD based on a pending AOS application is (c)(9).

The (a)(6) category is to apply for an EAD based on your K-status. This expires at the end of your 90 days...so it would be expired by the time they approve it.

No problem!

Also, applying for an EAD based on (a)(9) has the fee being required. Applying under (c)(9) has no added fee...just the $1140 (I-485) + $85 (biometrics) = $1225.
