Observations- 

1. Montreal is back to full processing capacity as of February 2021.

2.  Most of that capacity is going towards IR/CR.

3. Pre- pandemic, on an average -

• IR/CR share of processing capacity 42%
• EB share of processing capacity 18%
• FB share of processing capacity 31%

Hopefully, we start seeing some interviews in Summer/Fall.

 

I thought there is no EB up to now.

the process on EB3 now is very confusing, as the Montreal's status now is yellow (limited service) does this mean they won't be doing any interviews anyways? I've emailed them but received a similar answer, seemed like we'd have to wait more for the EB3 process. reading along all the thread seems like there hasn't been any EB3 interviews at all, am I reading right?

Looks like there is IL for employment based category. IL letter was out for Montreal IR1/CR1 on 9th April for May. 

Guys, do you have any updates news on Montreal interview for employment based folks?

I believe IL was send for family based cases as well. I have not seen any updates for the employment based category atleast under this chain

There is no evidence yet to suggest that ILs have been sent out to EB applicants for Montreal.

Update:

Montreal March issuances available now. The post issued 389 immigrant visas, mostly IR/CR.

Very good data. 
 

looks like they are trying hard to catch up, given the record high issuance in March. 
 

still have doubt on the EB number. Really EB?  (And EB in Oct/Nov 2020?)

Those numbers could be real. EB applicants subject to National Interest Exception (like doctors, nurses, may be?).

I talked with NVC today, and they confirmed that Montreal Embassy is interviewing EB cases.

No, he said regular cases, but I didnt ask for any dates
