Did you call NVC? When I call, the agent said we are not current and PD need to be current for this month to get an IL. But I know for sure my friend got the IL last week and he is not current for this month. An some folks o on VJ too got Il this month despite the PD is current. If you call please ask them about it. Different agent gives different answers. November would not go back since it is the begining of the Fiscal year. you will see a forward movment instead.

Any update on interview, will they schedule end of the month usually for the following month? I sent an email to NVC and expressed my concern of taking this long for interview schedule.

@sadee No update yet. To which email ID did you send the email? They take about month to reply on nvcInquiry@state.gov according to their website.

My best guess is our cases will be scheduled next. if you refer monthly immigrant visa issuance statistics here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html you may see Montreal issues lots of EB visas once in two months. For example in the month of June they have issued very few. But in July they have issued a lot. check under monthly immigrant  visa issuances by post. I think November they plan to give out lots of EB if that order is going to continue.

I used public inquiry form from their website. So we may be scheduled for November, from April to November is almost 7 months, OMG, that is too long.

It is our bad luck @sadee Priority dates were retrogressed for two months. Even for this month, we are not current. So we cannot count two months from the wait. Montreal is one of the busiest post in the world due to high number of CR1/IR1 cases. They have given 26 IL for IR/CR cases on 16th and 17th September according to VJ members who got IL for Montreal. I think this month is for IR/CR. We will hear something earlier next month.

Hi @Daniel2014 where did you get 26? Just curious.

Hi Everybody - I'm thinking of getting my Canadian Citizenship, which means that my travel document will be updated to a new Canadian passport from my Indian passport. My oath is scheduled to be in few days.

Is it allowed to change the travel document after case is complete? I guess, I have to update my citizenship in DS260 as well. Would this have an impact on the case that is complete in NVC.

Would it further delay the process?

Anybody any thoughts? Any ideas? Any recommendations?

Thx again!
