Hey BkBk8...hopefully you will get your visa very soon. I have heard of this many times that you are told you are approved and then you receive DS5535 in email. I have also heard that in such cases they clear the applicant very quickly and issue the visa so hopefully you will hear the good news soon. I am just curious, are working in the U.S. ? if so, have you been waiting for the visa in Canada for like 20 days? that's a long time!

Thank you for the note. I currently live and work in Canada while awaiting for the visa to be issued.

Is it ok to enter through carway border or any other border?

Carway border is very small and they were having internet connection issues.

I went to Sweet Grass border. Its bigger and faster.

But is "First IN First OUT". Be there before 8AM in the morning and you will be the 1st one to be processed and be done in 30 mins.

If you go later on in the day, you will have to wait couple of hours before your turn.

Not yet. I think from October only we will get dates. Visa Bulletin for September is not published yet.

My PD is still current even with the retrogression, but hasn't heard an interview date. @Man2Man is your PD current also?

@BurBur, My priority dates are current too! (based on my understanding, I hope it didn't change)

Its been 3 months and approximately 10 days since the case is completed by NVC. I'm cool with the wait time as long as I hear people who are ahead of me get their interview scheduled.

I hoped that people who had their case closed in Apr would have gotten the interview letter in Aug by now(4 months). Since that hasn't happened -  I guess half of us might be pushed to Sep or Oct as @sadee said in his post earlier.

Hey, I have a short question @BurBur - how do I know whether its retrogression on/off for eb3 category? I have as PD that's in 2007. Did the dates go further back?

Wow you've been waiting for a while. What I'm puzzled is why the progress has been stalled for 2 month. Maybe people not on this forum is getting interviews, or maybe the VISA is not available even thought our PD is current, or maybe it's just under staff for the summer. You can check your PD against the monthly VISA bulletin. It depends on your birth country too. Use the Final Action date chart. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2019/visa-bulletin-for-august-2019.html
