Hi yes it’s a super easy as long as they still have all your file at Nvc and is not sent to the consulate already, it’s really easy. it took them about three weeks (probably less) to change it over from Montreal to London.

just fill in the web form , ( that has boxes you can insert your LIN number etc).

When your case completed at NVC? What web form you are talking about,  do I need to send forms again to NVC? Please reply and Thanks a lot.

Hi All,

I am EB2 applicant and had my interview on August 16th at Montreal Consulate. The officer took my finger print and asked for my status in Canada. Then I waited for 1 hour and another officer called me at another window. I did not have a job offer and it is not required in my case. The officer asked me about my PhD school, my area of specialization, my future plan in the US. I replied that I am waiting for a project to work on as a postdoc but still not approved yet by the sponsor lawyer and I will start my company as I provided USCIS in my RFE. Then she looked at my file and said, yes you have so many people support your petition but I need your CV. I replied that I did know that you need my CV but you can find it in my file. She replied, I need an updated CV. and then she gave me a white 221g slip and said you are fine but send us the updated CV and it will be reviewed in a month and the visa stamp can take up to 3 months. I was driving crazy and under panic attack. Then the embassy send me an email two days later to provide my CV that show thesis title abstract, transcripts, publications and employment history. I replied back with these documents and still under Administrative Process from August 15th till now Sept. 23. Anyone here may provide his advice and tell if the visa will be issued or denied. What are the possible scenarios?

Hi AAA_Can I hope you are still around and reading this thread. Do you mind giving us an update as to when you ended up getting your visa?

Will do! For everyone who had their interview in May please let us know how long it took to get your passport back. Has there been a situation where the primary applicant got the passport back shortly (been seeing 2-3 working days with past posts) but the dependant’s passport came at a later date?

Hi all—

My husband and I just had our EB 3 interview this AM at the Montreal US consulate and thrilled to say we’re approved. Outlining a few things below in case it’s helpful!

1. We got to the consulate at 7:15 am for an 8 am interview and were case #3 for the day. It’s important to remember multiple people may have interviews at the same time as you and the case #s are given on a first come first served basis.

2. We were allowed into the consulate at 7:30 am and were seen for document verification around 8 am. As previously mentioned in other posts, we were given a check list and had to arrange our documents in that order (passport, pictures, marriage and birth certificates, sealed medical results, police certificates and tax forms).

3. Luckily there was not much rush and we were seen for our interview at 8:30 am. The interview lasted for about 30 mins as we’re currently living the US and were on H1-B visas and have been on multiple visas for the last 4 years, hence we just had to narrate our entire story and the multiple non immigrant visas we’d held while living in the US.

4. All went smoothly and we were handed a green approval sheet, mentioning that we’ll need to wait approx. 2 weeks to receive our passports back (that’s the standard timeframe they give).

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Do you need to take your personal Tax returns for EB3 as well ?

We took both, yes. But interestingly enough they never even asked to look at either of those docs.

Hi NB90, Thanks for your update. Did they ask for your social media info.? As you know it is now required by NVC and I am thinking if the consulate asks for this and we should prepare it in advance. Thanks.

Guys as you know, NVC now requires social media, emails, telephone numbers and travel history of the past 5 years. I wonder if this will apply to us as well and we should prepare it in advance for the interview. Please any of you guys who come back from their interviews let us know if this info. was requested by the consulate. I am already preparing this in advance but I wonder if a certain form is required. I intend to prepare this form and have it ready and submit it upon the CO's request during the interview.

Hi,

Nope, none of this was required. The questions asked were pretty straightforward—travel history, job history, intended address and job in the US, etc.

I think this only applies to those who are still filling up Ds260. Not sure tho

Hi Guys

Good news!! Just got the confirmation of my interview in May, super excited!! Good luck to everyone waiting for that magic email..

Hi GGM!

had a quick question for you since you already had your interview in May. I just had mine yesterday and we were told application approved and handed a green letter. As expected we were told it takes roughly 2 weeks to receive the passport back.

just curious did you log on and check the status of your application after? We logged on this morning and both mine and my husband’s says “administrative processing” which to me means further being evaluated, although we were told it’s approved. I’m a little concerned so if you could help shed any light on this, I’d be super grateful!
