Congrats VCNA,

Please what do you mean by "At last once she was satisfied, she got signature from me in a form to confirm that I will work for same employer."

Are we bound to stay with employer that filed for us? if yes, for how long? Does anyone know this information.

Also, for people who have completed their interview, I am wondering if the consulate allow us to bring in food for the children, toddler especially - 17months old.

As am not sure if a 17month old baby can stay in the consulate for 4 hours without food.

Thank you

Shaki

Thanks Shaki.  I think its regarding our intention of working with same employer when we receive our green card, also depends on your contract period with your employer.  I have 3 years contract with my employer and my employer also got a signature in a form saying that, they will notify USCIS if we don't work for them during contract period. I have no idea about this. Its better to contact the attorney before we change our job. But I want to stay with same employer until the contract period is over.

I think its allowed to bring food for small kids.

Thanks VCNA,

Has anyone on this forum received their passport back after the interview?

If yes, can someone share a timeline, I know the consulate mentioned one wait for average of 2 weeks before making any travel plans.

It will be nice to know how soon one can get the passports back from the consulate after the interview.

Thank you all

Has anyone in this Forum who have case completed in Dec 2018 or Jan 2019 received the interview date yet?

My CC date is early Dec 2018, hoping to hear by end of Feb or early March for an April 2019 date. If not, my estimate would be an interview in May (based on @AshleyJill Nov CC was scheduled for March, unless it's one-off situation)

Hey guys, i just submitted all my docs to NVC and now waiting for my CC. Do you guys know how long it usually takes for the visa to be issued after the interview? like what is the timeline? Do they tell you if you need to be put to Administrative Processing ? what feedback should i expect from the interviewer at the end of the interview. Appreciate your complete response as I am preparing myself for the interview.

Hi all, as I prepare for the interview, can someone tell me the format of the offer letter? Does it have to be this several pages of offer letter that we received when I first accepted this role or can it be an employment letter stating title, name, salary, job tasks, etc. And that I will still have this role upon my return?

If someone has a format please let me know.

Hi all,

How to know if my case is closed? Will it changed from 'At NVC' to something else in CEAC site?

No, it won't change in CEAC- but you will get an email from NVC saying you have become documentarily qualified. My email came about a week after my case was actually closed, and I only found out it was closed beforehand because I happened to call and check on my status.
