Hi all- congratulations to everyone who received their interview dates. So happy to see this! For some reason the post notification emails were going to my spam and haven't seen all the updates.

Here is my update: after going back and forth with NVC on about over 5 Checklists of documents that I already sent, my CC is finally Dec 7 (delayed since June '18) (EB-2).

Also, according to @AshleyJill CC on Nov 6th and interview date in March and if I understand this correctly, I along with @mo85 may possibly get notified soon for an interview in April or May instead of the ~6months timeline we've been noticing (could be June).

Hi all

it seems like this month we are seeing a mix of interview calls for applicants with cc in September, October and November. They must be clearing off the backlog they had for a while.

My cc is Dec 11th.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I am EB2, case complete email from NVC received on 6 Feb. Could someone add me to the tracker list please. I am still waiting for interview but it seems Montreal is taking way too long compared to other embassies, I am so regret select this consulate post instead of other countries where I am eligible to apply for consulate processing

You can change consulate where your visa interview will take place, all you have to do is to contact NVC via their website under "contact us". I called NVC and my attorney and they both confirmed that it's possible, but may take some time (usually month). You are going to have to give reason why you would like to change consulate for example: you are permanently moving back to your home country or one of your family members is sick and you will have to take care of him/her or something else. Remember, you can only select embassy/consulate where you are from, example: if you are French citizen and you live in Canada only Montreal and Paris will be available for you. I suggest to contact your lawyer if you have one, I wouldn't waste my time for Montreal.

Hi All,

I had my interview on 15 Feb. It went well. but waited long time. I went to embassy at 7.50 am, My number was 12.  Around 10 am, document verification was done. they collected all our originals. They called us for interview at 12:00. Totally waited for 4 hours. it took 15 to 20 minutes for the interview, the officer asked several questions about my employment, education, travel details, total period of stay in US etc. All questions were straight forward and answerable. At last once she was satisfied, she got signature from me in a form to confirm that I will work for same employer. She approved our visa and said welcome to USA. I was so relieved at that moment. Until then, I was bit anxious for 4 hours unnecessarily. If we have all required documents we don't need to get worried since ours is employment based visa.  overall its a good experience.

Now I am waiting for my visa. Can any one say what will the changes in CEAC status? When I checked my status, it shows issued for 3 applicants and ready for one applicant. not sure why it shows like this. we have been told it will take two weeks to get our passports back. Any inputs are appreciated.

Good luck for all.

Congratulations vnca! Thanks for sharing your experience. Did they ask you for a copy of your resume, or any additional document not listed on the checklist?

Thanks ascb,  No, they did not ask for resume. but I had with me to be on safer side.

They asked to see educational documents, also my exam pass certificate from usa, visa screen, since I am in healthcare.

thats all.

Hi All,

I see my visa class is showing E2 in NVC portal. Is it correct? Is E2 same as EB2?

Congrats VCNA,

Please what do you mean by "At last once she was satisfied, she got signature from me in a form to confirm that I will work for same employer."

Are we bound to stay with employer that filed for us? if yes, for how long? Does anyone know this information.

Also, for people who have completed their interview, I am wondering if the consulate allow us to bring in food for the children, toddler especially - 17months old.

As am not sure if a 17month old baby can stay in the consulate for 4 hours without food.

Thank you

Shaki

Hi Shaki

Please find the link as below regarding the information you asked for. I hope this helps. I have consulted with few of my friends who practice immigration law in the US and they all did confirm the same. Apparently, It's all about your "INTENT" at the time of your visa application.
