In case no vaccination record is available, does anyone know if an applicant needs to have all required vaccines taken again during the medical exam? If yes, does it cost extra?

Vaccination requirements at USCIC site: https://www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements

We did not have our vaccine record. so our doctor did some blood test to know our immunity. Then he gave some vaccines, for which we did not have immunity, for free. So, if you get your vaccines form your physician, it is free. But in Medisys, I think you need to pay extra. But in toronto, visa doctor will not do medicals unless you have all your vaccines.

Vnca,

So its probably a better idea to go and do medical in Montreal if Doctors in Toronto will not do medical with missing vaccines?

yes Shaki, its better to do in Montreal with missing vaccines.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to receive our passports back after interview?

It took me 2 days. They shipped the day after the interview, an I picked them up in Montréal.

Congratulations CanMon! When you get a chance, would you please be able to share details of what they asked at the interview, including any additional documents (beyond what's listed on the website) that they asked for. I am sure you are a relieved man, this wait can be pretty frustrating.

I did not need anything extra. My packet from my Lawyer included everything I needed.

However, the sheet the consulate gives you does not include the items required for employment based immigration, only family and marriage. So I almost had a panic attack when it listed most recent tax return and I did not have one, but it’s not required for employment.

the interview itself was less than 5 min. They asked how long I had been working in the states and my status. They asked my daughter who we were and how old she was. Then it was welcome to the USA I have approved your application.

Thanks CanMon, if you don't mind, when exactly was your interview, more so what are the documents needed for employment case since the consulate gave you a general one for marriage and family.

Thanks.

Any idea if one should drive to the consulate and find parking around or just stay at a closer hotel then walk, since one is going to the consulate with family and the little ones can not walk for long reason I thought I ask.

I stayed at the Hilton garden inn centreville, very bilingual. A 10 min walk to consulate.

its alright, they had no idea extending my stay until my documents were ready or cancelling the remaining days after the doc cakes so quickly.

Thanks CanMon.  Hope you are so relieved and enjoying your weekend. Waiting for my turn now.

I walked with a 7 year old and a 4 year old in -20C weather (15min from hotel). My appointment was at 7:30, we got to the consulate at about 7:20 am. They open at exactly 7:30 am and we we were 6th in line. They do everything in order of arrival.

That’s all I remember, just bring what is online and what your lawyer gives you.

also don’t bring a bag. It says you can bring a small bag, I brought a laptop bag to carry all the paper work and they would not let me in. I had to give to a coffee shop to hold. Otherwise we would have been 4th in line. The bag was smaller than my wife’s purse and they let that it. Better to just bring everything in an envelope.

Hello Everyone, I had my interview yesterday and got it approved. The lady Consular Office was very nice and friendly. The interview was pretty generic as described by other candidates before......

Your job location ? Have you ever been refused US visa or refused entry at the border ? How did you come to Canada ?  What is the longest time you lived in USA on TN Visa ?

Make sure you have all the required civil docs in order including a recent letter from the employer.

Good Luck Everyone...
