Any idea why Montreal is not pumping up the number of interviews even after the pandemic restrictions are almost lifted? Just comparing with Mumbai consulate where it is increasing the numbers of interviews significantly. My friend's whose DQ date in Dec'20, visa is already approved in Mumbai consulate 2 days ago.

Feb stats are out. But unfortunately Montreal has decreased its processing capacity:

Thanks for this analysis! Yup clearly there is a reduction in capacity but good to see that EB hit 15% of the processing for the first time so hopefully there’s a good uptick coming, let’s hope so.

Thanks. That's very unfortunate. I will try to go for Adjustment of Status then.

@204 Thanks! I hope they keep hiring more and more.

Yeah, looks like they're expanding their capacity. They hired a visa assistant last month and visa clerk this month; hopefully, they can keep processing three months of DQ cases each month!

Did they process 3 months of DQ in the last month? I was under the impression it had only moved 1 month (from Jan to Feb).

Yes, last month they reduced three months backlog of FB & EB cases.

Because they have little incentive to.

The larger the backlog of cases, the more funding they can negotiate for.
