Check this link, it should give you a guide of all the documents you need to submit.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-6-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html

it will also tell you how to get your police report, also check other forum and see how others have secured their police reports.

I might not be accurate but seems if you live in the U.S, you have to get the police report via RCMP.

The NVC link should walk you through how to gather your documents.

Hi VNCA

Congrats on your interview. I am a newbie here and I am also on EB3 category with CC in December 2018. Based on the current trend it seems like my interview will be in June 2019.

Just wondering, if at all NVC prioritize interview dates based on the profession of the beneficiary?

Hello

I'm EB-3 applicant, my timeline: CC date Sep 17, I'm still waiting for interview in Montreal.

I'm shocked why this process takes so much time in Montreal! I've known 2 people who have been sponsored by same employer as me, one of them had interview in Paris another will have in Warsaw, both EB-3 visas. One guy from Paris got his interview email 28 days after CC email. Second guy waited only 12 weeks from cc to interview in Warsaw. My lawyer told me that he could ask NVC to transfer my case to Warsaw because I'm polish citizen who lives in Canada. Well I figure it's a little to late now to transfer case...  if I would have known this couple months ago...

Good luck everybody

Thank you Vcna for the update, Kapen recently added his info so he should be getting interview sometime in March.

I already settled for April time interview based on the 6 months timeline but might be lucky to have a date in March.

@Kapen, as you can see, looks like the problem is Montreal consulate and am not sure how we can help the situation than to just wait till we hear from NVC and good idea you never transfer your file as it could even delay it longer so just cross your arms and watch, yours is next and guessing you will have interview date for March.

@PhilCanUSRN, Deztiny OR anyone in the house:

Thinking about interview, does anyone know the preferred Dr to book the medical?

One in Vancouver, I guess this is no go, am wondering if anyone know much about the one in Montreal and Toronto?

Am a family of 5 living and hoping to do the medical days before the interview- I plan to spend a week-10 days in the eastern Canada to do the medical then go and attend the interview.

It will be appreciated if someone can shed more light on the Dr's office to go that will produce the result ontime with no delay and realistic cost.

Thank you

Thank you

I did my exam in Montreal at Medisys on Friday Jan.4. They told me 4 days for the results but they were ready on the following Monday. They are just holding them until I pick them up the day before my interview at the end of January. They told me they will hold them for up to 6 months.

If you are waiting in Montreal for you interview, plan for at least 5 days before your interview for the medical test and to get the results

The medical tests took about 3-3.5 hours for the three of us (2 adults and 1 child) and cost about $1200 if I remember correctly including a Tdap vaccination for my wife. Make sure you request your vaccination records from which ever province you grew up in, or you will have to pay for additional vaccinations (they told us that they take your word on some vaccinations but not all).  Manitoba health sent me mine for free to NJ in under a week.

They have a small pay area for kids (a couple blocks and books) they did not mind that my kids brought devices to keep them entertained. They did the chest X-rays one at a time so one of us could stay with the kids, and they did mine and my daughter's height and weight as well as my blood work at the same time. The entire family's physical was taken together at the same time. For adults, they also do a urine test but they do it last, so if you pee at some point before then, expect to wait until you have to go again before you leave.

Overall, the medical exam was fairly painless and the staff switches easily to English, if you are driving there, the build has under ground parking for $15 dollars for the day.

Thank you CanMon, this is going to be helpful.

I do not intend to go to Montreal for medical then leave as in your case as i reside on the west coast (the cost will be too much for me and my family) so I will plan and arrive Montreal 4-5 biz days before my interview so i can do the medical test, get my results then 2 days before my interview and go for the consulate interview.

I just dont know what i will be doing in Montreal 4-5 days before my interview?, and that makes me wonder if Toronto testing centres might worth considering.

Guys, anybody here requested a Certified Criminal Record Check under privacy act (as Department of State requires) from RCMP? the instructions are very specific about being under privacy act and requesting the entire RCMP national repository data on the applicant. I tried to explain this several times to the local police where I requested to be finger printed and I hope they issue the right document. Do you know how long it takes for it to arrive and what it may include? I know it includes all convictions and charges (withdrawn, dismissed etc.) but does it include interactions you have had with the police regarding cases which were not related to you directly or if someone complained but there were no charges laid? Someone called the police on my wife two years ago, local police in Canada came to our door twice and talked to her but no charges were laid ultimately. I was present during interactions. Could such data end up on the report?

Commissionaires offices all over Canada have an agreement with RCMP. They are authorized to collect fingerprints and request a criminal check on your behalf. They use electronic finger print capturing therefore the application is submitted in real time as soon as you are done there. The reports gets mailed from RCMP to the applicant's home address usually within 2 weeks.

Yes but do you know what goes on these reports? Can the police interactions end up on there?

Mine was simple, basically it said "no record found". I think the only way to find out is to get one and see. The report cost less than CAD$100 and can be requested as many times as you want. The report is sent to the applicant (you, in this case) therefore there's no harm even if it contains something adverse. If you see something, at least you'll have a chance to address that issue in advance or prepare an explanation.

In case no vaccination record is available, does anyone know if an applicant needs to have all required vaccines taken again during the medical exam? If yes, does it cost extra?
