Hey all,

sorry about the late update. I had my interview on Aug 23rd. everything went well and as expected. unfortunately I did not have one of my original documents with me so I was asked to mail it. It was delivered10 days ago but no updates since then...

Congratulations Pasand! Hope you get your visa related documents soon!

All: Probably it will be good idea to create two lists for the benefit of others. What do you guys think?

#1: A list of documents we should carry - both originals and others

#2: A list of probable questions

I added a list of documents based on other threads. Feel free to add/subtract from that. It is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14yZKxht6igwJPXPU0EehKmmN2hx1g3EchEuB5G0yNO4/edit#gid=1272732755

Thanks for putting this together. I don't think some of them are applicable for EB cases (they are relevant to family sponsorship) unless by petitioner you mean us. As far as I understand for EB cases petitioner is Employer and we are beneficiaries. Let me know what u guys think. I don't think any employer will share below with us:

Petitioner's/Sponsors Income tax return transcript
Petitioner's W2
Petitioner's birth certificate (optional)
Petitioner's passport
Petitioner's green card

Did any one get IL's today?  It looks like they were sent out this morning for the other tiers.

Thanks Blueeyes1989 for putting this together.

@viksaw That's right, some of these are applicable for individual sponsorship (even in EB follow to join cases), but not for the primary EB beneficiary.

Looks like IL's were sent today. Based on the announcement from MTL, they were going to start with EB case from Oct. I am not sure if it means they will conduct interviews in Oct (with IL in Sept) or they will send IL's in Oct.

Did anyone got lucky today??? :)

My interpretation was that the interviews would start in October, which would mean that the interview letters would be going out in September.  But so far no one has posted in receiving an IL.

I found this helpful link.  Not sure how accurate it is but it sounded reasonable.  And no IL for me today.

Checked with Montreal Consulate and it appears I was wrong in my interpretation.  The IL letter will only be sent in October, hopefully for November interviews.  Now another month of waiting to see how far the dates will extend!

Did you check https://ca.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/consular-operations-updates/ page or really contact Montreal Consulate (by email/phone)? Just curious.

Hi,

May I ask what was your explanations for expedited request?

My employer and lawyer wrote to them that I need to do projects with health and government entities and also that once I will get into the US they will open more job positions for US citizens and that the US company is losing a lot of money while I'm out and the embassy told them that only NVC can decide what they do with scheduling meetings but NVC is not replying for this request.
