NOA received well after Conditional GC expired

I filed my i751 (application to remove conditions on my green card) only 10 days prior to the expiration of my conditional residence, primarily due to being unable to pony up the cash to pay the relevant fees. I failed to mention this in my application and thought it unnecessary to do so since I was filing while still of legal status. It was received by USCIS on April 11th, which was exactly a week before the expiration date of 18th April on my conditional resident card. Today (May 22nd), I received a notice of action (I797, notice type is "receipt notice" for the $680 fees paid) in the mail informing me that my conditional resident status has been extended by a year, that I am allowed to work and travel based on this extension, and that I would be receiving a separate notice in the mail to schedule my biometrics appointment. What's confusing me is a certain statement on the notice I received, which says:

"This extension and authorization for employment and travel does not apply to you if your conditional resident status has been terminated".

 

Now, the notice clearly states that the date USCIS received my application was 04/11 -- a week before my status expired. But the receipt date is 05/22 -- a month after my status expired. If I were to walk into a new job with these documents, what would be made of it? I do not plan on traveling internationally while my i751 application is pending, and I also plan on applying for naturalization as soon as I am eligible to do so, which would be the January of 2019. Thoughts? Any comments based on prior experiences or otherwise are greatly appreciated.

Your conditional resident status wasn’t terminated, so nothing to worry about imo

It means that unless your LPR status was terminated, the letter extends the validity period of your existing green card by 1 year. There's nothing in your post to suggest that your LPR status was terminated.
