Want to study a one Year Course-Can I apply for Financial Aid

Hello Everyone,

I have come to US one month ago on spouse immigrant visa, I want to to study one year course in a college. Can I apply for Financial Aid in that college as I can't offered college fee? Will my joint has to repay finical aid or is it ok to receive financial aid? Kindly reply.

Financial aid has nothing got to do with the goverment assitance. Like welfare office or similar aid. What you would be getting is either a student loan, which to my understanding has to be a college class with a minimum 2 year degree. I could be mistaken about one year or less, but i was told that when i tried for fianacial aid for something less than 2 years of college.

10/21/2018                Card was mailed to me, and yes it said so on a Sunday night, while Vj-ing

10/22/2018                Card was picked up by the USPS

10/24/2018                EAD in hand. F%^&& finally

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail

That is not exactly correct. When i was applying for college i could have gotten financial aid being a GC holder. Certain types of loans and aids are for USC only.

You can receive financial aid if you qualify. You will need to ask the college. Also be aware they may charge you out of state tuition if you don't meet the residency requirements for that college. That will be much more costly.
