Disturbing ad

Hi,

 

I keep getting redirrected to some kind of “you won $1000 Amazon gift card” website when I visit the forums. Hipstarclub dot com is the link.  It happens cca 2 out of 5 times. It’s quite annoying and makes me have to close the tab and start over, find the thread I was reading, where I left off...

 

Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Could the admins do something?

Hi Ivy, that's pretty odd. Occassionally one of our ad providers gets a spam advertiser. What phone type and browser do you use?

Today (Monday) it is popping up literally every time I try to access the forums, making them completely unusable from a cell phone.

I am in the US, on an iPhone, using Safari. The ads got so crazy I had to use a different app to access the forum. I got an email with your question, but couls not manage to type a reply without popups, redirrects and more ads.

How about chrome. Does that have any issues?

I am still having issues on Safari but it seems I may be able to post this reply. 

I don’t use Chrome on my phone. I used the Google app yesterday. 

 

On the computer I use Safari or Chrome and dont have these issues.

I’m getting these ads, too. I get the amazon one and another similar one. The second one makes me close my browser tab and start all over. It’s really annoying. I’m using safari on iOS 11. I have 3 ad blockers on my phone, but they don’t stop these.

Honestly I've stopped using chrome on a cell phone. It's impossible to block ads and every website I visit gets massive pop ups.  I've personally started using Samsung internet with an ad blocker.  I think it's a chrome issue for me with android.
