I applied for VAWA 12/2016 through a lawyer.

I-360 and I-765 (C31)     = 12/16/2016 received receipts.

Ref for Background      = 01/29/2017 received Prima Facie after submitting the Ref request.

2nd Prima Facie            = 08/2017

Filed I-485                      = 09/2017

Biometric                        = 10/2017

3rd Prima Facie             = 01/2018 for only two months

4th Prima Facie             = 05/2018 for 6 months

My question is, why haven't I received my EAD up till now?  I was reading other comments and I got to know that  my I-765(C31) will be approved when I-360 get approved but if I have I-765(C9) with my pending I-485 then I will get EAD in 3 months is that correct, and if it is can I file another I-765(c9)?

This process is so cumbersome even my lawyer dont get the process well.

If you filed form I-765 category C31 they will approve your work permit just after your VAWA petition is approved. If you have AOS pending or want to file now then you can file form I-765 category C9 and you should get the work permit within 90 days.
