Hi everyone,

I am in the process of filing Form N400 for my US citizenship, although I haven't submitted anything yet. The thing that bugged me is I traveled to Cuba for leisure in 2017 on my Chinese passport without getting a license. I didn't know I needed to get a license before I left so I went there for vacation on my own. My lawyer flagged this to me as a risk just now. I spent 4 days in Cancun and flew to Havana for 3 days from Mexico. Then I flew direct back to the US from Cuba. I did get asked a few questions when I went through the US customs with my green card (such as how many days did you go? What did you do in Cuba? Did you buy anything?) but I got in without a problem.

Now I am not sure how this travel history will affect my citizenship application. Do you think my case will be denied during the interview or I may run a risk of being investigated or fined?  Appreciate if anyone could give me some advice. Thanks!
