Dear VJ Users --

I attended my AOS interview on 11 December 2017, received approval on 29 December 2017 and received the actual Green Card on 30 December 2017 via USPS. This evening I received a text notification from USCIS and then this email below:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: MSC-XXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On December 30, 2017, the Post Office delivered your new card for Receipt Number MSC-XXXXXXXXXXX, to the address that you gave us. The tracking number assigned is UNAVAILABLE. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

  • Log-in to your myUSCIS account to view your case history and understand what you can expect to happen next on your case.
  • Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at under Check Processing Times.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

What should I do??? I already received my green card. Has anyone been in the same situation?? Is there any action that I need to take?

Please advise.

Best,

J/G

Thank you. Are you sure there's no repercussion for me from ignoring this email?

Unless I'm reading the e-mail wrong, it states you received your GC on 12/30, which is true. It isn't instructing you to do anything- correct? In other words, the e-mail is basically telling you something you already know, and there is nothing you need to do.

LOL I just received the same email for my case. I received my EAD on 11/2/17 and literally half an hour ago I received the email. I can tell you I was confused but then I remembered your post

I will ignore it as there is nothing else to do. We already have our cards 😊

USMSBOW --

Thank you for your response. Yeah, I think I read the email in a nervous & frantic state of mind, but then again frantic & nervous are part of my brand ;). The second I read the word 'UNAVAILABLE' typed in all caps I literally went, "What the F is it this time, god d***!!!!" But when I re-read the email now, it's clearly just a statement that saying, "hey, we sent you this thing.".

Little Immigrant --
