Tampa, FL petitioners!

My wife and I are closest to the Tampa field office. How many of you filing in this area - or just in FL in general - can shed some light on how long the process has been taking for you / has taken in total? USCIS field offices seem to be currently processing petitions at a rate of 21.5 - 44.5 months, which is alarming compared to the first process! Just curious if the processing times are any better in Florida / Tampa :)

You gotta pay attention to the California Service Center processing times, not local field offices. It's at 17.5-19 months currently.

We're in south Florida. We filed in January 2017, got our NOA1 (extension letter) and biometrics appointment promptly, and are still waiting for approval (16 months so far). The delays have only been getting worse for new applicants, unfortunately.

Spoiler

South Florida couple here. Sadly I have to concur that the delays seem to be getting longer.

We filed ROC in Sept 2015 and got approved June 2016 including a delay for an RFE.  That seemed in line with what others had experienced in the year or two before we filed.

We applied for naturalization a few months later and based on past cases were expecting a 4 to 6 month wait. It ended up taking 11 months. To quote Tom Petty, the waiting is the hardest part.

It got to the point that I deleted USCIS Case Status and VisaJourney from my browser favorites so it wouldn't be so easy for me to check on things.  Then one day a text alert came through and it was all over.

I would recommend finding something similar that works for you.

Best wishes!
