Met through an MMORPG: April 2005

Met in person: 9/23/2005

He proposed in front of Buckingham fountain: 8/20/2006

Sent I-129: 12/21/06

NOA1: 12/29/06

Touched: 3/27/06 (Happy belated bday to meee :P)

Received Email that they sent NOA2 yesterday!: 3/28/07

NOA2 in ze mail: 4/2/07

Called NVC to see if they have received the case and they haven't :( 4/13/07 and 4/19/07

NVC sent packet to MTL today! 4/24/07 (took 4 weeks from notice date)

MTL sent packet to my lawyer 5/2/07

Lawyer received Packet 3 finally! 5/17/07

Sent Packet 3 5/22/07

Now on the waiting list for an interview! 5/29/2007

Fiance gets his medical done: 7/16/07

Scheduled for Interview!: 10/24/07

Congratulations and thank you for the good explanation of what to expect in Montreal.

As far as the EI goes, I've read the government site and you need to be eligible and looking for work in order to collect benefits....ie: have employment authorization. Sadly, they (Canadian EI)will not pay for us to sit on our butts while we're waiting for the EAD to come through...even though most of us want to work and not sit around.

I'm a little ticked that I've paid into it for the last 15 years and when I might need it for 3 months, they can't help me out. The flip side would be if you got a temp EAD while going over the border, perhaps that would qualify you while waiting for perm. authorization.

Note: I immigrated from Canada, not T&T - the timeline is reflective of this.

PRESENT - IR-5 Story (reuniting a family)
I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png

way to go!!!!!!!! I'm really thrilled for you.

Mine is the 15th....

Oct 1/09 - I-751 package sent

Oct 3 - package delivered

Oct 5 - NOA mailed

Oct 13 - 1st NOA received and additional letters for my daughters I filed with. NOAs stated Resident Status

has been extended for 1 year and that we will be receiving a letter for an ASC appointment for

fingerprints, photo, and signature.

Dec 2009 - Received 10 year permanent resident card.

Feb 2010 - My children received their 10 year permanent resident cards.

Oct 2010 - My children were legally adopted by my USA Citizen husband.

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Phone Call Two: April 13, 2007: No Date: She said that while no date is scheduled, they're moving toward our date of January 17th and that late May seems likely for an interview.

Phone Call Three: April 17, 2007 -- No Date: Our interview should be within the 6-8 week timeframe.

Letter from Congressional Representative: We have a backlog of up to six months for appointments. It is doubtful we will be able to accommodate him before June.

Phone Call Four: Montreal gives Jon an interview date of May 9th -- that's next week. And supposedly Packet 4 is in the mail.
