Hello to everybody in this thread guys!

I'm just so overwhelmed and need help. I have addressed this issue in different thread, but have not heard the answer that might satisfy me.

Who here signed and submitted DS160 for their fiancee? I'm specifically asking people who have their fiancee from Russia.

I signed it and submitted for my fiancee in Russia. Are we going to face any kind of problems by doing it? Do we need to redo the form?

Thank you

I need to submit this as well.  He is supposed to do it, I think, but it's online.  The application gives you a number/code when you begin the process so that you don't have to do it all at one time? I was thinking of doing it for him because it has to be done in English and it's frustrating for him. I was going to nearly complete it, give him the number, , let him log on, finish it, and print off the confirmation page.  I apologize if I am incorrect because I'm also overwhelmed, stressed, and in the same boat but I was under the impression that this is for the Russian fiance to do. I didn't realize that the US citizen even had to sign it.  So, anybody out there that can help us both out it would be great.

Also, do you know if my fiance has to have the medical in Moscow and then come back for the interview, making two trips?  He's from Yakutsk!

If he can stay in Moscow for the time in between (not sure exactly how many business days they need, but less than a week), he can make one trip. That's what we're planning on (also if the timing works out, I'll be with her then, but I just sent my petition yesterday).

Andrey, I believe you're overthinking it. I understand why you're so worried. On the DS160 it's emphasized that an applicant should sign and submit the form themselves. On the other hand, there could be a thousand reasons why the applicant cannot do that physically. E.g. - no access to a computer, no access to the internet, limited English proficiency, living in complicated conditions or in a hostile environment. An applicant might be reluctant about disclosing information regarding their immigration process to family members or colleagues for personal reasons. As long as the information in the DS160 form is correct and truthful, and your fiance was aware of your actions and what you put into the application, you should be fine.
Please, remember that the embassy in Moscow is not considered one of the "difficult ones" for fiancee visas. Russia is not a high fraud country. From my personal experience, the consular officers and the rest of the staff actually do want to help you to get a visa for your fiancee. They are exceptionally nice, friendly, helpful, and understanding. So, my advice is do not overthink it. If the fact that the application was submitted from your PC comes up during the interview (very unlikely), just be ready to give a reasonable answer.

P.S. I myself was so worried on the stage of obtaining K-1 visa about literally everything. Turned out, that was the easiest part of the whole process of moving to America and adjusting to the life here. Please, save your nerves for when your fiancee is in the US. AOS wait is a killer. Meanwhile, you have to handle thousand other issues - how to get SSN, when you get your employment authorization, how to fight DMV for driver's license, how to explain what is your immigration status at college so they don't give your an international tuition, how to overcome a language barrier, and so on and so forth. If I learned one thing from my immigration story, it is that immigration is not for the faint-hearted or emotionally sensitive people. Everyone grows thick skin during the process whether they want it or not.

Good luck!
