Permanent Resident needs help in bringing a family member to the states while filing for the Us citizenship.

Hello again Fellow VJ’s. Hope we are all doing well. I have a question. I am currently trying to bring my son here from the Philippines. I also got the approval letter but the process is still not complete since he needs to comply with the requirements needed in the Philippines. If I do proceed in filing my Us citizenship/naturalization would it affect his status or do I need to submit another application for him if I become a Us citizen. Thanks all.

So he has already gone to the interview and been approved at USEM? What else are you waiting on then bring him here. Complete the CFO and bring him here.

   Not yet interviewed  mate. I got the approval letter here in the states and he needs to comply with the requirements in the Philippines such as interview , physical check up and others. Thanks for your answer.

Ok, that makes sense then. No, it will not affect his status at all if you got citizenship. You know there is a Philippines subforum on here for Philippine specific questions.
