Hi fellow VJ members...

i have a concern about my petition I filled for my wife and 2 step children...I live here in Broward County ,FL....I was divorced back in oct 2016 and 14 months later got married to my wife ..who is from INDIA....now my concern is that I did send everything in the I-130 packet the way it was suppose to be ..tagged each page as to what it is and cover letter with everything in order...I was checking somebody post here on VJ that at embassy level the person was issued the IV and later called back to submit the packet back as the embassy could not find out online if the petitioner was legally divorced  and denied his case..

now just for the curiosity...Idiged out my Divorce decree and start surfing at Broward County website to find out my case online...I couldn’t find anywhere online my divorce case and this made me little worry...and to add confusion to the situation..the court guy hand written my case on the divorce dreceee and I couldn’t distinguish if it’s 44 or 47 at the end on case number...The stupid mistake I did was not going to the court house and asking for a certificate copy of divorce decree..

now you experienced VJ member .....can U shed some light as to will I get a REF on divorce or they will find out that I do have a record at the court house ..PUSHBRK...I know  Man U have seen way more then any body here and I need some help as to what to do ...should I go to the court and get a certified copy and mail with my NOA1 to NSC or just relax and wait for REF ...divorce Decree is clear and legit as it could be and issues here in US ...I am not worry about that..just some concern ...cuz it’s better to ready then sorry ...

I wouldn't send anything now. Just curious, what did you send as a decree if it wasn't a certified copy? I would go to the courthouse now & get a few certified copies (I know in NY it's only $5/copy), just so you have them. If they give an RFE then at least you'll be prepared & able to send right away. You won't need to send it to NVC, but definitely send your wife with a certified copy to the interview. But for now, I wouldn't do anything...I'm sure they'll be able to see in the system that you're divorce is legit.
