i never expected that i will post this question. Well this is what life is? Please i need a advice as my whole life is changing?

two days before i had a arguments with my wife and she called police. Police came home and talk separately with us. later they wrote my name and my children name on plain paper and talk us out. he is saying he has to report whenever they received call.  How can i know they have a report against me, i was not arrested or anything but how it will effect my n400 application. Please tell me what to do, from three days i am really worried. what to do, shall i contact lawyer as later CPS also visited my home? I dont know what to do?

At this point, you weren't detained or arrested. The police will keep you in their system in case their are future calls, similar to CPS. Therefore, at this point it has no impact on your potential N400 application.

In the long term, it really comes down to why they were called and sorting that out personally. Get a marriage counselor, consult a religious official for advice, do whatever you need to do to prevent your arguments from escalating. It shouldn't get so far that anyone feels the need to call police/CPS.

Did she call the police just for plain arguments? Usually people do not call the police when there is an argument.  Something big has to happen. If the cop will report this as a domestic violence case as I assume they do then there will be a record on you. Maybe you should get a lawyer.

What is your current situation with your wife?

Hope others can chime in.

Shouldn't be an issue.

I would suggest you get an attorney lined up and talk to them, and plan how to escape via divorce.   Discuss with them about getting your assets in your name and your control, get a separate bank account or a place and start keeping a portion of your money there where only you have access.

That would be the first and last time my wife called the police, If she did it once she will continue to do it.  It will be a pattern.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

It is a report and it is standard procedure. But if you are worried about if it will effect you, then you can rest assured that you will likely be OK.

In the meantime, if a disagreement has gotten to the point where authorities have been called then you should make every attempt to either make amends with your wife or seek some kind of counseling to resolve your issues. There is an underlying issue at play here that is cause such actions as calling the police. At the very least you should refrain at all cost of getting into any more arguments. You don't want another call to the police to happen again.

The police always have to record that they responded to a call even if there is no arrest. For example, say a couple gets into an argument and the police comes. The wife reports that the husband had made passive threats to her but there is no physical assault. There is no arrest but the police now know that there was some disturbance there. A few weeks later the husband physically assaults the wife. Since it was recorded that there was a previous disturbance a prosecutor and judge can now look at the history of the husband to help them with the case.

Hi,

recently i have a harsh argument with my wife and she called police. Police gave us warning and left. Later my wife took temporary restraining order against me. Before the fight i was planning to visit my home country for two to three months. My question is how this restraining order will effect my immigration process. Is there some problem when entering usa. Kindly let me know i have to go out of country cause of family emergency.

Thanks

It could affect your status if you break the order and get charged. So stay away from your wife.
