Hello! I checked USCIS Processing times and I noticed that my I-130 will take 5 to 7 months, but my I-485 is 7 to 25 months. Does that mean that I can get my green card in the next 7 months? or is the longer timing the one that will apply?

They will adjudicate the I-130 + I-485 together. As such, expect the 7-25 months. That's a very wide range, though...I would expect closer to 12-18 months being more realistic.

The longer timeline will be one that will apply more than likely. So my guess is about 12-14 months.

They will get reviewed together, so it is the I-485 one that will determine the processing time. The I-130 timeline only applies to people to who only submitted the I-130 without the I-485.

You are forgetting that current AOS is taking over 12 months on average right now right?

I'm unclear what your comment has to do with my comment. My comment didn't touch upon the length of time of AoS.

If you're referring to I-130 alone, no it is not taking that long, but that is not AoS, that is simply the I-130 that establishes the relationship to a USC or LPR petitioner and establishes a priority date. Not applicable to OP. AoS is taking over 12 months but I didn't even address that in my comment

I was referring to the I-485 paperwork the OP filed. I addressed that in my post. Please read fully before you comment.

You did comment on the I-485:  so it is the I-485 one that will determine the processing time. The I-130 timeline only applies to people to who only submitted the I-130 without the I-485.

I read fully. Your comment did not reflect my comment. I already said it will go by the I-485 processing time if he applied for both at the same time, which he did, so what are you on about?

What are you going on about? We gave the OP a timeline to look at and you come in to try and confuse them. So that's why I said that currently AOS is taking at least 12 months so that the OP is aware of that.

The OP gave the timeline himself. In fact he gave two. I told him the correct one to look at when checking the processing times on USCIS website is the I-485 one. If he says the timeline for his field office says 7-25 months I am not going to go doublecheck that it says that. Some people do in fact get it in 7 months, and some people get it in 25 months. If you want to give him an average time of over 12 months you are free to do so but I chose not to give my opinion on that.

My response still stands: when looking at the processing times on the USCIS website, he should go by the I-485 timeline, not the I-130. That is the only thing I was addressing.

I think i-130 timeline here is helpful in a sense that you may expect adjudication starting from 5-7 months and onward, up to 25 months. I am just assuming that it is unlikely to expect anything sooner than the estimated i-130 adjudication timeline.
For example, my i-130 is estimated to be adjudicated in mid July. So, I am not expecting anything to happen to my case until then. After my case hits that landmark, I will begin to expect an interview notice for the next 18 months.
