K1 Visa more evidence required

Hey!

so our petition was received and they are asking for more evidence. If we’ve already provided pictures and emails, etc. for the petition, whats best to send them for more evidence? Updated pictures and emails?

What exactly is the RFE asking for?  Usually K1s don't require a lot of evidence up front, so just wondering if there was a required element missing in your package.

boarding passes, passport stamps, receipts.

 

pictures are secondary evidence and does not show that you met each other in the past two years by themselves.

emails also does not prove this.

 

so you need hard evidence that puts both of you in the same place same time.

Airline tickets proving visits

Hotel receipts proving visits

Misc. receipts proving visits

Have you actually met within the last 2 years prior to submission of the K-1 paperwork?  Usually, K-1s need evidence of meeting, letters of intent to marry withing 90 days.

^^^Pretty much what's already said. Things like boarding passes and flight agendas are best as far as proving you've met/been together in person within the last 2 years, which is part of the requirements. Chat/message/call logs don't support that, and although photos together are great, independently it's not that strong. Without valid time stamps, you can't prove when the pictures were taken (within last 2 years or not). You can also provide a letter of intent, if you hadn't already, which you can both sign, or you can each have your own. As someone else already mentioned, you can also provide letters of support/statements from relatives, such as parents or anyone who's met the other one, etc.

I agree, the RFE should be specific as to what is needed.  We need more information from the OP as to what is being asked for.

Yes we’ve met over 2 years ago. I haven’t received the letter- I just checked the case status site and it said that letter is on the way. So yes I suppose I have to wait until it arrives saying  what they specifically want. Thank you!

You met more than 2 years ago?  The requirement is that you have to have met no later than 2 years before submitting the K-1.

Oh we MET over 2 years ago, and we started the process in November 2017

Yes, you need to provide only what the letter asks for.  During our K1 application, I forgot to include my fiancé's intent to marry letter (a required element) and received and RFE.  There are really few required elements for the initial stage of the K1 meeting in person in the last two years, proof both are eligible to marry legally, intent to marry, etc., more than likely  you either missed one of those, or they need more evidence of one of them.

We’re in the same country now- I’m on a workers visa. Back in November 2017
