Politely rejecting you when you can feel the smile? Lol yep.

Packet 3 reaches really quick for Japanese people so I wouldn’t worry much and I’m sure it will open really soon! I saw it go “no dates available” twice in one week and always opened up in a day :)

meanwhile you can schedule your medical and have that ready so ready so you can schedule and reschedule later if you want.

Hahaha yup you know how Japanese do so well LOL

Thank you, @Naes. Yes, after seeing your and also other's timeline, I am not so worried about Packet 3:) Thank you so much! I almost wanted to tell the operator if she has any idea of how this visa process works...!??? lol People here have better knowledge for sure.

I just came back home from the dentist and saw the first available! It's July 2nd so I grabbed that one! It could be earlier, but it gives me some extra time to prepare and I am very happy about it!!

I have my medical on June 4th! I am planning to go to the police station on May 28th if he Packet 3 arrives by then, or June 4th after going to the medical.

I do need to hurry up and collect other paperwork such as I-134, birth certificate, and finish up our proof of ongoing relationship.

Quick question: we only need one packet of proof of ongoing relationship, or do we need the separate packet from the petitioner and the beneficiary (like how we did for I-129F)?

awesome you caught it!!

I'll try to find the list of whatever they wanted in the embassy (I have it somewhere here :) )

You don't need separate anything. All they asked was "Did you bring some photos of you two together for me to see" He went through it then gave it back to me. I had all the tickets and call logs but didn't even look at those.

For police certificate, it takes 1-2 weeks depending on the province you use. (Kanagawa was 1 week, Tokyo was 2) all you ned is a copy of noa1 or noa2 or even nvc letter is enough.

Thank you!! I'm sure your list will be superrrrrrrr helpful for all of us in Japan:)

Okay! Got it! I already made a packet for the proof of ongoing relationship, but I will also get some photos. (It will be only screenshot photos since we haven't seen each other after sending I-129F.)

Oh I didn't know I can use a COPY of NOA1 or 2! Good to know! Thank you! I'll bring both and also NVC letter to be sure! Thank you so much!

Add the old ones you sent with the packet too. (They don't have that packet in front of them so he looked through old ones too!)

I just printed out my noa 1 and took it with me and they gave me my PC. so it won't be a problem :)

it was great! i don’t know if it was cold or i was just nervous 😂. theres only few questions and im glad i get to explain well how we met otherwise they’ll dig into it and find it suspicious. my album of pictures helped a lot too, they really check it, but everyone should double check DS form, errors there makes them think that you’re unreliable to take an oath too.😊

Do they double check the passport number on the appointment letter?

@Christy&J @Bianca89 Hi guys! I can't remember which one of you two asked me to update you after requesting my police certificate, but I just got home from the Bürgeramt and they told me that they cannot send me one in English, just in German. But since I have no entries I wont have to translate it anyways :) so now that my case is "Ready" and my medical has been scheduled, should I begin the DS-160 form?

Yes, I would do that. You can fill it out and pay the fee!

Police certificate doesn't have to be in English, the instruction on website said if documents are not in ENGLISH or GERMAN it has to be translated.

mine would be in German and I won't translate it either.

2. yes girl fill up DS160 submit it and pay visa fee then now we have to wait for package 3 :D

I called NVC and they said our case is waiting in the line to be sent to the embassy. I asked multiple times and they said all processing is done and it’s just like waiting in the line to be forwarded. It seems like NVC is backlogged these days.

about timeframe, they said it depends on how quickly they send things to the embassy

Same answer was provided to me!!! I'm crazy about all of this right now. Can't understand why for us this is so long, as very often people are done with the NVC in 2-3 days.

I was tossing and turning, could not sleep at 2AM,for a reason - I checked CEAC website and here it was - READY status!!!!! Thank you all guys so much, who reacted to my previous message. It went super fast from getting a number to ready. I love this date sequence 21-22-23!!! Could someone tell me what are next steps, please. When should my fiance get something? She is calling to schedule medical and I guess we can already submit ds160,make payments and try to look for interview, right?

yes they do, as far as I can remember people from the outside of the embassy checks everything. I’m just not sure if it’s going to be an issue if it has an error
