If you look through the history of this thread, "that person" always has an opinion even if not asked.

And you are always the only one to call me out on it everytime. If you read his post he called Naes rude and selfish for not answering his questions. Leave it alone.

Glad to see we can still muster up the emotional energy for a good internet argument even this far along in the process. Takes me back to the good old 6 month wait for NOA2 days.

Is there another thread where we can continue seeking advise from one another after port of entry? The support from everyone has been irreplaceable!

My current concern lies with the timeframe of Adjustment of Status. The K-1 visa is approved for 6 months, after POE and marriage then applying for Adjustment of status — if getting approved for AOS takes more than 6 months would we be considered out of status as we are waiting?

Every step of the way there is a procedure that when put in place you'll not be out of status. Once you land on US soil at your POE, your visa is now canceled as it is only good for a single entry. Immigration will stamp your passport with what is referred to as the I-551 stamp allowing you to remain in the US while your AOS petition is being adjudicated but you are STILL obligated to file your AOS package within the 90 day landing period. If you feel you will surpass that anniversary date then create an Infopass appointment and have it extended. As long as you have submitted your AOS package, there is no need to be concerned with out of status.

Did you happen to use the VJ blue ribbon with tabs at the top of the page to see if there is such a thread to answer your question? I did and this is what I found http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/131-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/  If you are looking for information, just look around and see if you can answer your own question(s). It will educate you on the offerings/tools to which you can use.

Alex's interview was the 27th (last Wed) and our status online stated Administrative Processing immediately after.

They were waiting on medical from Knightsbridge. Today it changed to Ready again. Does that mean they received it and are issuing the visa?

Just about everyone see these status changes.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out. Your mileage may vary.
