@Greenbaum  can you please help with informations regarding applying for the SSN when is the best time for that and what do i need to bring there for the process. can my daughter K2  also apply for the SSN ?.  SO HOW'S that side of the process going to be.

@Naes just a day or so ago asked that same question. Here is what I told her. "I have a website that I created a while back and the information for getting an AOS is still current. I have an overview of what is needed once you land at your POE and have kicked off your shoes and relaxed for a few days. It covers when to get a SSN, where to go and what documents are required. Then it talks about bank accounts and drivers license issues. I tried to get everything you will do once you land in the USA to settle in. I hope this helps".

Hope this helps.

Alex had his medical this past Wednesday. Everything is in order and he has his interview (London) on the 27th (next Wednesday). The Knightsbridge Doctors said it will take 5 working days to process the stuff and THEN they send it over and that he will be fine at the interview, he just won't be given an answer.

Does this sound right or do we need to reschedule the interview? Also, is there someone that can give me a list of what they were asked for at the meeting to double-check what I have?

Thanks!

Litteraly had our interview in London. The best way to describe it is like the dmv. I actually came to England to go with my fiancé. We spent the weekend in London and has the interview Monday morning. I don’t recommend changing your interview date. I’ve read that someone was told they were approved but then they just said they have to wait for medical to make sure.

so we went to consulate, were about hour early, walked to the que which was just a both that said non citizen services I think??? And waited, the wanted to look at a page and passport... the page that had the pic on it and interview info I can’t feme name of it. But then we were early... so they said to come back 15 minutes prior to interview. We just stayed on the side and sat on the big concrete brick things. We went back right at 15 til went in door then through a airport like security que( no lap tops or suit cases or big bags) then we went through into the next building aaw the receptionist and she gave us our ticket number and then we went up the elevator to the non citizen services. This is the dmv like part. They instantly called his number. My fiancé wasn’t familiar so I had to tell him that it was calling his number at window 20... he was dead nervous... then we went to sit down by the 20’s windows. It’s all the way to the left and around the corner... make sure fiance pays attention to that. So you sit in the middle of the room and the windows are all along the side.

Then you go up to the window they make sure your docs are in order. Once they make sure you sit down and wait for the interview. It’s the exact same set up where you’re face to face with someone at a window. Before us there were two other guys being interviewed. LITERALLY for both which were back to back, the lady asked them how they met, when they plan to get married and... THAT WAS IT! They were excited one was more enthusiastic than the other... so they just booked it out of there. We waited about 10 minutes in between and then she called my fiancé up... same questions but also what do I do for a living. Then viola! He couldn’t get away from the window fast enough. Lol. We plan to enter America July 3rd! Hope this helps. I’m assuming the evidence of relationship was there. I’ve been back and forth every 3-4 months since beginning 2015. 😵

good luck!

Thank you!

He doesn't have wet copies of my signature on the I-134 but I think I read that policy changed in December of last year.

He has, so far, copies of my statement from my bank, my W2, my letter of employment, the i-134, a new intent to marry document, all of his documents they sent him, and our original petition plus all the stuff they said to bring.

We've had 4 trips to see each other (2 for him to US, 2 for me to UK) in the last two years. We also have tons of Skype logs. So here's hoping it all goes smoothly!

Sounds perfect! Make sure he has his passport picture without glasses if he wears glasses. My fiancé had to use their photo booth lol. I only took my last year tax return and I also took a copy of everything we sent in for the application too and a few random other things. Thankfully we used an attorney and they prepped us and gave us a list of what to bring. 😱

good luck!!

Be sure you double check what your lawyer says you need with what is on this Travel State Gov webpage for your Embassy (the links in the P3 letter will lead you to this page). There are hundreds of story's throughout VJ that people have been misguided by their lawyer. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html

Just lending a hand. Good luck.

Well, I'm still stuck at NVC after they generated our case number on May 2nd.

We've been under Administrative Processing for almost 8 weeks now. This is exhausting...

@Naes have you seen any case like this, stuck at AP for 2 months even before the case being sent to the embassy?

Everything about this process someone has experienced it. You are on the long side of waiting so something is stuck.

You might try both options below.

First try shooting off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

I don’t think USCIS Ombudsman could say anything since it’s already at NVC with case number?
