When you are in doubt with what you read from your research, or from what you receive from any Government Agency I understand that you want to verify the information. From my experience I have seen many Filipinos over the yeas have problems with their TB test. Some have to take a 6 month regiment to clear the TB which requires them to go to the medical center M-F and take a dosage of a very strong drug. It must be taken over course of 6 months to be effective in eliminating TB. The Philippines is a HIGH RISK area for TB. So they must get a waiver for their 4 month NOA2 validity. If anyone needs and extension, the Embassy has the wherewithal to extend the validity but only in 4 month increments and only for 12 months. Then USCIS requires the applicant to begin again.

Now, there are two excellent tools that can help in your research and that is Google search from your browser or if you look up in the left hand corner there is a box that states "Google Custom Search" where you can search on any term. It's a great tool. When you use either of those to search for Validity of the NOA2, it returns so many postings, that others had the same question as you. You also, would have viewed their concern, like yours, and the answer they were given mirrored mine.

I don't sugar coat my answers. I sometimes come off as arrogant. I get that. But I will give you the answer and 95% of the time I will give you a link that backs up what I stated. I when I give you my opinion I state so. But I am not going to intentionally give you just any old answer.

I want to say one last thing on this issue and then I am gong to drop it. From your reply initially I felt that you didn't give my information any validity but you made it clear that what @Naes gave you had more weight. She let you know the uncertainty of her answer which to me needed further explanation not only for you but for others who may have the same concern. I have never have known Naes to just throw out an answer. If she knows, she will give you the facts with a link, and if she doesn't she will also tell that she is uncertain with her answer. I for one appreciate her help and I gather you do to from your post.

Let's move on from here. Good luck and smooth sailing. PS If you need any help, I am still her to lend a hand.

Same here. I just had my interview two days ago and the status changed to Administrative Processing earlier today and it's already Issued a few hours later.

I thought for sure it would go for at least a couple days under administrative processing but I'm glad it didn't. Can't wait to pick it up at the ASC.

Your not the only one who has waited a significant amount of time. No one with any certainty can give you a firm date of when you will be able to get your case number. We have seen 1 day and we have seen outwards of 6 months. Things are running about 2-4 weeks now. Keep trying to call. Just a little more patience is needed.

Quick question. If it says on the ceac that the visa is "issued" it means it had left the embassy to be delivered right? Or am i wrong on that one?

It only means the visa has been stamped on the passport, whether or not it has left for delivery is unclear and only an e-mail from the embassy will tell.

It has left the BIG house to YOUR house. Check 2go for current status.

To update your delivery preference follow this link:
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-iv-documentdelivery.asp

To track your visa status on the CEAC use the link below ( K-1 is processed as an immigrant visa) :
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

To track your visa status on USTRAVELDOCS this link is an option:
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp#trackingoptions

Here is a list for 2GO locations:
http://supplychain.2go.com.ph/CustomerSupport/tools/outlets.asp

Tracking your visa through 2GO:
http://supplychain.2go.com.ph/CustomerSupport/tools/tracking.asp

~  2 days after ISSUED  you can try to call 2GO at this number to check status 901-1404  (2GO picks up the visa packages from the embassy at 5PM weekdays)

*Dashboard is blank on USTRAVELDOC*

After the interview, finding you dashboard on USTRAVELDOCS blank is very common.  You have 24 hrs after the interview to update your registered DELIVERY ADDRESS for your visa, if you want to change it.  After the 24 hours everything will go blank, then once the visa is issued all your data will appear again.

One Additional Way Of Checking your Passport/Visa Status

You can verify the status by sending your passport number as the SUBJECT and email to

passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com

If you receive an automated reply that says "Not Delivered," then your passport is  ready for pick-up at
the 2GO branch you selected.

Prior to "Not delivered," the status would be "Transit from post."

A visa is "affixed" to one of the blank pages in the passport. It has an adhesive and is applied to the passport. Embassy's do not send email's to inform you of the status of your visa. You need to check your P3 letter where most times it will explain "what's next" answers and check CEAC for current updates. Once the status goes to "issue" within a day or so it's in the hands of the delivery company.

It's probably different in the Philippines, but in Brazil once the passport is ready to be picked up at the ASC, they send you an e-mail to set an appointment to pick it up. I think it's different for every country.

@Greenbaum Thanks for explaining.

@K1visaHopeful Although I understand what you mean, I do understand why @DenisAlma said what is said, because we were here for a long road and know each other not because I am anything. For someone suddenly seeing different numbers and 1 year extension for the first time, it can be confusing (Actually Greenbaum taught that to me at first when I thought I would need it and I was confused too, as I didn't expect to have 1 year worth of extension possible)... But I do not fancy being called anything like that... I believe it is only because of the time spent together here waiting..

I wish I had more time to explain when I was writing but I could only give the bit of information I had. (I need to figure out my internet problem...)

Thank you.  I do have a case number.  I'm on day 23 waiting to be sent to the embassy.  Hopeful to see "in transit" soon.
