I know for a FACT that this is how it works. But, use your knowledge and continue to be stressed. Call your Embassy and return here and let me know what you found out is different then what I offered.

To use my knowledge and continue being stressed ? Wait, what ?

I did call the embassy and they did not say anything specific, so it is different from what you have said to me, anyway.

I just said that I know when my NOA2 expires since its printed on the noticed when it expires. And its not a year.

Naes exlained to me nice and shortly, without any complications. It is probably extended automatically.

Thats the answer I wanted.Short.

As far as I know your petition is extended automatically as you already did your interview.

Naes replied with this^^^

17 hours ago, Greenbaum said:

NOA2 is valid for one year from issue. The Embassy will extend your NOA2 in increments of 4 months till you reach the 12 month max. Once you attain a visa, that is no long valid.

So you're fine.

And Greenbaum said the exact same thing^^^^

17 hours ago, DenisAlma said:

Thank you, Naes.Really a cheer up for us.We are so annoyed with the mistake we made by bringing little communication logs and we stacked it with pictures.

Can't wait for this to be over, should be soon.

Thanks again !

You thanked Naes for her response^^^

17 hours ago, DenisAlma said:

Thank you for your answer but on our NOA2 it is said that it is valid until June 20th, which is today.

And called out Greenbaum for his exact same response^^^^

So he explained further because I for one was just as confused as him as to why you accepted Naes response but not his^^^^

I'd like to clear up what the validity of the NOA2 is. The NOA2 that you first receive is printed as valid for 4 months but actuality the total time is one year. Why does it say 4 months then? Well, simple... The Embassy's have to remained stocked with bodies that are processing so the valid date says 4 months so you get all nervous that you're going to go beyond the "valid" date printed on the NOA2. They have to keep people moving in the process otherwise they will have a "log jam" and the work load will be inefficient at best. Your Embassy is well aware of this and will automatically move your date out another 4 months or until you reach the end of line (12 months) for the NOA2. If you reach the end of the validity of your NOA2, you will have to apply over again as that application is going to the "dead file".

Trust the process.

^^^^^and then Greenbaum explained even further to make it clear.

I was just believing what was written on my paper. It said valid thry 06/20/2018 . I accepted his reply, lol, I appreciate it, I just got confused with NOA2 being valid for a year, but on my paper it says June 20th.Thats why I found it hard to believe in a one year rule since I had nowhere to read about it before, people would, usually, say 4 months, so his one year rule confused me a little :)

I know much about the process, we did it with little third party help, I was just confused about this NOA2 petition part, since I process took some more time than it should and the material I had to research on it was so scarce, thats why I turned in here and got the answers from both, which I appreciate :D

Anyway, thanks !

So when Naes said it was valid it was cool but when Greenbaum said it was valid it was not? Lol. I don't blame him for his response. You did seemed very ungrateful for his time he gave to explain after accepting Naes' same response with no doubt in your mind.

Now we all now Naes is the current reigning queen of VJ but if you have ever took the time to look at Greenbaum's timeline you will see he's been here for a few years. He does not need to be here to offer his support...but he is daily and offers his expertise at the drop of the dime.

We should all take a little extra time before jumping the gun and coming to the wrong conclusions and especially in the ways we respond.

HIs response confused me.Are you his lawyer or something ? Like, leave it alone, no one mentioned you.

I said ''Thank you'', the response, but I was left confused.

To come and tell someone that my NOA2 is valid for a year, when I am holding a paper in my hand that says that it is valid for 4 months is not satisfying for me.

I could be wrong and it probably is one year, thats why I got another response.

You are sticking your nose in something that is not your business.

No he/she is just a bully who finds something wrong with how many times people ask a question and now how someone replies!  Just ignore it.
