I agree with @K1visaHopeful, it is best to do before marriage. Just a heads up though, even though you don't have to wait two weeks after US entry to get the SSN like the instructions on here say (those instructions outdated, your arrival should be in the system immediately these days), do wait as long as you can if you're planning to marry soon after arrival (but still before marriage of course). I entered on 5/24/2018 and went to the Social Security Administration office on 5/29/2018 and my arrival was NOT yet in the SAVE database. So they had to do a manual verification, which can take a month or more. So like I said, if you want to marry within two weeks of entering, still try and wait as long as you possibly can before the marriage to avoid my situation :) I really wanted that SSN sooner!

Good to know! thank you! We are marrying at the end of June due to my parents flying in for the wedding so we can wait 2 weeks no problem. I think we'll do that just in case.

wow that’s quick, i’ve been waiting for mine since May 22. It’s going to be 2 weeks on tuesday. I wonder if its okay or if it’s normal coz im in the provincial side. the only way for me to check is sending email, then it’ll send automatic reply “no available status” or through 2go etrace then it says “invalid” which means they haven’t received it.

Are you waiting for your visa? My fiancé picked it up at the embassy instead of having it mailed and the marriage license we did online and just need to go to the Recorder's office to pick it up in person once he's here. As for the SSN I think we'll wait a couple of weeks since we aren't planning on marrying until the end of June. Good luck on your wait, fingers crossed you get what your waiting for very soon!

I don't have a copy of the P3 instructions for Madrid. Can you PM me and send a scanned copy. I file them so that I can help others who come after you so they can begin to gather their documents while waiting for their case number. Thanks.

Will do as soon as I get home

Congrats.  You have all the information to complete your interview for your visa? Are you comfortable with how this is proceeding? USEM is one of the easiest Embassy's to have your visa application adjudicated so relax. You'll do fine.

Yes you can complete the CFO the day before as long as you have your passport with you and you know "something" about your future husband. :jest:

CFO in Manila is the hardest one to pass so if you are near Cebu or Clark you may want to consider those locations since you are doing it the day before. That doesn't give you much of a cushion if you have any problems in Manila. Just giving you some caution.

Here are some items that you should know:

- Basic Information about you, the fiancé(e)/spouse (Name, Address, Birthday, etc.; Your Birthplace is important too, specify which city/town/area/province)

- Basic Information about your petitioner (Sometimes you are going to be asked for the Birth Certificate copy)

-     Know the            ******FULL MAIDEN NAME of USC's MOTHER  ********

- Contact person in the Philippines, specifically immediate family as in Father, Mother, Siblings.

- Landline Number of Petitioner. (I know, I know, most of you guys don't use landlines now. That's what was running through my mind too.) If no landline is available, Landline of Petitioner's Nearest Relative or Petitioner's Neighbor, or work number.

- Petitioner's Educational Attainment, Degree/Course, Occupation

- Information on Petitioner's Divorce/Annulment/Death of previous wife or husband. You must have a copy of the Divorce Decree/Death Certificate.

- ZIPCODES. Both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Never forget to write those down.

Be confident. Smile. Look the person in the eyes when answering and you should have this. Each interviewer is different so I give you the worst case scenario so you are prepared for anything. Fiancée can't go into the building but can wait at a café if he wants but he may want to go exploring while you are there and you text/call him when you are finished. Sometime half a day sometime a full day.

Medical was in london on 5/30. My fiancé told me it was quick and he waited in the waiting room hour and half.

I just wanted to share my interview experience.

My case status is currently in “administrative processing”. I attended the interview yesterday. Unfortunately, my medical results are still not there in the embassy. I was advised by SLEC that they are the one who’s gonna send the results to the embassy because there was a typo error on te results and they need to redo it but they said that everything is cleared.

After the interview, the consular told me that “it looks good, proceed to the releasing area for further instructions”

when I went to the releasing area. I received a 221g because they need my medical results. I was advised to wait for the embassy’s message and not to contact SLEC. My passport is still with them. They didn’t return it back.

Now, I’m just wondering if my case is going to be approved or not. Hopefully everything will be okay and will get my visa soon.

IF they have kept your PASSPORT then you are APPROVED. I tell everyone, when I can remember, to ask the CO if you are approved before you leave their window. Most will tell you. For you it's just going to be a little more time. Maybe 5-10 days depending on SLEC.

THe consul only said “it looks good” then asked me to proceed the releasing area where I received a 221g regarding my medical results.

Ps: during the interview, the consul never asked for any documents and the interview only lasts for 2-3 mins.
