I don’t understand anymore. US Consulate here in South Africa received K1 petition from NVC on 17th of this month (MAY) and on CEAC website it’s been saying READY but up till now no packet 3 has been sent to us, when i call they always say they will get back to us with informations needed.

These guys are something else.

The DS-160 is pretty buggy and difficult to use and decipher the true meaning of the questions. Some time back someone posted this remedy:  Reboot your computer and try again.  If that doesn't solve the issue then use a different browser. Don't know if it will work for you but maybe try it for kicks. :thumbs:

Do you have the letter from your Embassy in what to bring for the interview. That's your checklist.

This 4 questions were already answered. thanks for replying again. I had asked different sets of questions. i do have checklist that is packet 4. it does not have information about below points.  I understood the answer for 4th questions.  appriciate your suggestion  on below queries .

@Naes,

@ChuAni

@Greenbaum

1. I have got signed i134 from my US petitioner. how many W2 , paystubs and federal tax return documents are needed.

2. do I also need to carry letter of intent during k1 interview ?

3. Do I need to carry original approved NOA2 letter.

4. any other specific document apart from evidences, police clearance, photos and medical report I need to carry?

5. about photographs, Ideally how many photographs we should carry?

6. Is it good to prepare photo book or create manual photo album ?

Dear friends, can any one give suggestions on below, thanks.

1. Apart from I-134, recent communications, photoes, whatsapp chat, email communication etc what are the other possible documents/ evidences I need to take during my interview? Divorce and/or Death Certificate, Police Clearance if you have lived in another country since the age of 16 for more than 6 months, medical exam results (if your Embassy requires that you carry to your interview), 2X2 photos if required by your Embassy and evidence of a relationship (you can use what you submitted with your I-129f). Don't show any pictures of any gatherings that my "look to be" a marriage ceremony or celebration of a marriage. Often times this can get you a denial or slow the approval process. So don't take the chance.

2. Do I also need to take copy of i129F? No

3. Any chances of success if I ask my fiancé to present during interview? No there isn't any advantage to "greasing anyone's palm". :rofl: If you attend the interview that has a favorable influence.

4. Do the consulate ask to provide any details on weeding plans? What is we can represent to them for this ? They may ask that question after all this is a visa to immigrate to the US for the intention of marriage.

:wow: I'm speechless. I have been on VJ for almost 5 years. For many of those years I have helped many to achieve there goal of getting a visa. You just really surprised me with your entry above. I tried helping you and all you can do is cross out my text. You are very rude, arrogant and quite lazy. You depend on others to do the work for you when they are trying to get through this process in their Country. You don't take the time to read the thread were you questions have been asked by others and answered by others and now you want everyone to kowtow to your request. As far as I am concerned you are on your own as I refuse to try and help someone of your ilk.

Although I am going through a different embassy, I too am waiting for Packet 3.  I emailed US Embassy in Spain and they told me they would send it when my case has been reviewed by them.  This is so frustrating!!!!

Honestly it is frustrating but we’ll see what they say this week or next. I’ve seen people get packet 3 asap as it got to the US Consulate in their country.

I completed and printed each page and i plan to start with a fresh application the day I end up submitting and just copying my correct info.

You're right it's buggy. I've noticed it deletes some of the info I put in so beware.

Hi team :),

Looking ahead - after booking medical/interview, if I use my credit card to pay for traveling ticket, would airlines ask my fiancee for the credit card during check in? Am I overthinking this?

You're booking your beneficiary's flight? Bit confused....

Yes sometimes they ask for the credit card that was used to buy the ticket at the check-in desk....what"s your worry, teammate?

Just give fiancee a copy of the front and back of your credit card, copy of your id and a letter stating you authorized it, in most cases i do that but they probably don’t ask as long as there’s nothing suspicious but just give it to her for backup. 😊

We buy each other’s flights all the time but never been asked.

Your fiancée can say it’s a gift and the petitioners name is written on the visa she can just use that to justify the situation if asked maybe?
