Yes.

"Your electronic signature certifies that you have read and understood the questions in the application and that your answers are true and correct to the best of your knowledge and belief"

And I confirmed it for my fiancee by clicking submit.

No information is incorrect on the form!

If an applicant is illiterate or unable to complete the application, the applicant must be assisted by a third party. The third party must be identified on the “Sign and Submit” page of the application. While the third party can assist the applicant in completing the application, he or she must instruct the applicant on how to endorse the application on his or her own behalf by clicking the “Sign Application” button.

If the applicant is under the age of 16 or physically incapable of completing an application, the applicant’s parents or guardian may complete and click the “Sign Application” button on his or her behalf. If the applicant has no parent or legal guardian, then the application may be completed by any person having legal custody of, or a legitimate interest in, the applicant.

My argument stands:

The beneficiary must electonically sign it.

The "your" refers to the beneficiary.

If anyone else does it, the certification you just declared to is void.

I'll let others chime in.

This is the link to the CEAC application site. Before you start this is what it reads :

Other people can assist you with your visa application. Note that under U.S. law (22 C.F.R. 41.103) you must electronically sign and submit your own application unless you qualify for an exemption. Even if someone else helped you complete the application, you (the applicant) must click the “Sign Application” button, or your application may not be accepted.

I suppose it is possible your embassy doesn't "verify" the IP address and such and when they take his fingerprints at the interview they say that's proof, but I'm a nervous Nellie through this process!

I am very nervous too, as I have very mixed thoughts and my fiancee was by the computer today, but stupid mistake such as missing information in DS160 (state and zip code) as I found out later turned to delay our process of submitting the form. Later when I told her, that I went individually through all steps in application and corrected the issue - she stepped out of the place where she was able to submit and print it. Right away she phoned Moscow Embassy, and they confirmed that a fiance (petitioner) can submit the form. So that is what we finally did. Than I told my fiancee that I am still nervous, I called lawyers office - let them know (they confirmed it's fine) and fiancee once again called Embassy and they confirmed it one more time. And like I mentioned earlier all calls are recorded and staff at Embassy should be knowledgeable about it.

I'm confused to the point having a strong headache :(

I would have a headache too, but I'm sure your note the first one to do this so deep breath and be calm as my fiance often tells me.

My point is this...if you get rejected for the reason of not having the beneficiary sign the DS160 what are you going to do?

Your explanation to us is all fine and dandy but do you think the embassy would be okay with you telling them so and so at the embassy said this and so did my lawyer? Even if it is a recorded conversation, do you think that the embassy would take the time to to go look for it to prove your point?

Look,I' not here to prove anything.i'm digging for the information sources. It is always good to have few and I already have quite a lot. Your guesses also aren't based on anything are they? They are just guesses as you are trying to play the guessing game of what if?

If your Priority Date is not current, the NVC will send a letter indicating it has received your file and that no further action will be taken until your Priority Date is current. Approximately three to four months prior to the date on which it believs your Prioirty Date will become current, the NVC will issue a Fee Bill.

I have read this information about NVC. Maybe someone knows what is the Priority Date? And where to find it?

I'm not either but the link I provided and the other poster provided is not a guess. It's factual info.

My problem is this: Ppl read this forum and only read one post and follow it like it's law. They don't do their own research.

I would feel horrible if I posted in here and it wasn't the correct procedure and somebody else followed my lead and got denied because of it. Would you not?
