Vaccinations are not REQUIRED for a K1 Visa. This is a better resource for your statement then VJ https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#7

They ARE required when you file for AOS when you apply in the US. True

The Flu vaccine is only required for AOS IF you apply during flu season. True

If you get your vaccines for your K1 during non flu season because you don't want to do it when you apply for AOS it is not an issue if you cannot get one. And True.

Now lots discuss where the rubber meets the road. Having responded to each of your statements I opine with this; As an applicant you are paying for your medical exam. Most Embassy's have set up the medical cost to include vaccinations needed and the price is whether it will determine if one or more are needed. Other Embassy's have require that vaccinations are extra expense. But here is the caution. When you file your AOS package you must submit that all your vaccinations are up to date. If the CDC panel physician here in the states does the vaccination then they will also extend proof to you that everything has been completed to further your AOS application. Keep in mind that everything you do here in the states that you could have done in your home country will cost significantly more.

My advice is that you get your vaccinations completed during your medical and receive your DS-3025 as proof to actually receiving your vaccinations. This form will be submitted as part of your AOS submission.

Lastly, the flu shot changes each year and therefor you could be asked to repeat the shot once you apply for the AOS if you file within the "flu season". So getting it now is just a waste of money as possibly will have to repeat it again depending on your timeframe that you will complete AOS.

So buyer beware. Just my 2cents on this topic.

Quick question - Do I need to include my W-2 forms in addition to the IRS Tax Return? I have displaced one W-2 from a temporary job and don't want to go out of my way to get it unless necessary. Thanks :)

If you have the IRS tax transcript the w-2 is not required but each Embassy and CO is different in what they require. Just saying.

@Greenbaum someone I knew had her vaccines today and told me they gave her the flu shot already. Called SLEC and was told their flu vaccines just arrived yesterday so I will just go back after my interview on wednesday. So yes, they now require the flu vaccine as early as now. :)

You can go back but based on the time period with which you apply for AOS you may need to repeat the flu vaccinations with the new serum.

For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

My point was that the original post could be taken the wrong way and scare ppl into thinking that the flu vaccine was REQUIRED (as stated in the post). Ppl would panic trying to find a physician that could administer it when in fact, finding the flu vaccine out of season is next to impossible.

Many ppl read one post and don't bother to scroll through the feed or do their own research  (as we all know).

Thank you for your facts! Hopefully ppl will see your post with the correct info. ❤

I read between the lines and I came to that same conclusion but I wanted to expand upon your points as I think anyone going through this process needs to make very educated decisions for them and your information coupled with mine hopefully will help others. Thanks for highlighting this topic.

Thanks so much!  After months and months of waiting, I can’t believe it’s finally happening.

I’ll be crossing all fingers and toes for you guys but seriously, it’s the the wait that’s the worst part.  I know it’s easier said than done, especially speaking in hindsight, but don’t let yourselves stress over it too much.  Girl, my nerves were absolutely frazzled and my poor honey had to deal with my rollercoaster emotions because of it.  Lol  After the initial tears of joy at the Embassy, I was nearly reduced to tears again as I apologised and begged forgiveness from my sweet, understanding, and incredibly patient fiancé for having to put up with me during these past few weeks.  He’s the calm and sensible manly type while I’m the girly, sensitive, emotional mess that legit ugly cries everytime Bambi’s mom dies in the movie.  Yes, that’s me.  God help him.

You are not alone! Every time we get to the next phase of this process I cry tears of joy, of course there have been many anxious weary tears too!:P

For those who have gone through the interview process and only have used WhatsApp or FB messenger for communication did you provide screen shots from both your phone and your fiance's phone? I chose screen shots currently from my phone where we sent pictures back and forth several times during the month. I included call logs too but everything right now is from my phone so it only lists his name. I do have a few actual phone calls where I printed my phone bill, but of course they are limited because it is so expensive. I also ready that exporting the WhatsApp chat might not be good evidence because it is a word document that could be altered. How much is overboard?:jest:

I sent screen shots of both our Whatsapp Call logs and our FB Messenger Call logs. For the K1 we "mixed it up" and has screen shots from both of our phones but now for the interview I will just screen shot them from my phone from our NOA1 date until present.

I did save all of our chat logs from both too but I'm not sure if exporting them to Word is worth it. I may or I may not as we have plenty of photo evidence from visits during our K1 wait.

I'd say collect some chat logs if your other evidence isn't strong.

Hello, fellows!

Does anybody know or had a problem submitting DS160. Neither I,or my fiancee could do this. SIGN AND SUBMIT is just greyed out for some reason. Does it mean,we would have to start over. It was working just fine just few days ago. What happened all of the sudden?

ADDED: Nevermind I just solved it!!!

Unfortunately due to logistics and my work schedule we haven't had any visits since we started this process in October which is why I chose the screen shot of the were we sent pictures back and forth, hoping that at least shows it was me. I'll have to try to get him to send me some screen shots too to make things a little stronger. right now everything shows his name but not mine :o

I wouldn't worry too much about it but yes, recording the messages with selfies of yourself will make it stronger. I agree with that! Good luck hunny!

As we all know, some days the frustrations comes because we aren't sitting together fill out this paperwork out together. Makes me wish i had that private jet or teleportation would be even better. HAHA. Sounds crazy but I will be thankful that for the AOS and thereafter we are filling forms out together side by side! :jest:
