I was able to sign in onto the my uscis the other day as my receipt number hasn't been working. 

 

Please could I ask what this all means? Do it mean they haven't yet looked at our case? Or should we of heard some before the 18th Jan. 

 

My husband got the letter and message that our case was received at the TSC and got a receipt number. We're we suppose to get anything else after? 

 

This is what is shows on my uscis:

 

December 19, 2017

We received your case

Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case

We will begin processing your case and will review it to make sure you have submitted all of the required information and documents. We will let you know if we need anything else from you.

If you do not receive your notice by January 18, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your notice by mail

So I guess just sit tight and wait for when they have looked at it now? 

Yes, you just have to wait for now. It will likely take a while longer to get your NOA2. (Your timeline suggests that you might get your NOA2 in the next 2 months) Once you receive NOA2 you can apply for the actual visa.
