Hi! I received an email from the USEM Consular Officer today stating that I need an NBI written letter of explanation in relation to the case file against me in 2014. I was told to bring the copy of that email to NBI.  My interview is on JUNE 7, 2018. I was wondering how long before the NBI Written Letter of explanation is issued? Thank you!

Varies with each situation, some they simply send the letter, others are required to be interviews by NBI first.    You could ask at NBI when there.

Print out a copy of the email from the embassy, bring that to NBI as stated already.  They will forward the letter of explanation to the embassy.   Then .. patience.

Hi. I am actually done with this one and everything went so smoothly and was surprised how everyone was so nice and accommodating . I was done in less than 30 mins. So my letter didn't make it to the cut off period but It will definitely be sent to the embassy this Friday just before my interview next week as confirmed by the NBI personnel I spoke with earlier. Thank for your response :)

Yes me too! Thank you!

hi...just curious, before receiving the e-mail message instructing you to go to the nbi office for an interview, did you already have a face-to-face interview with a consular office at the embassy? if so, did they require another interview after having the nbi letter?  how long did it take? would appreciate you sharing the experience. thanks.

Hi! Luckily, I received the email before my interview. I went to NBI early With the email with me. The process took 20 mins. They send out the letter every Friday. So the US Embassy had the NBI letter at my interview.
