I've been a long-time stalker of this thread. I finally have the ability to watch these although I only have an interest in "90 days: the other way". Once you've watched a few episodes of 90 day fiancé all the couples seem the same: crazy or desperate, with a few extremely loco cases. So many times I do a head slap and say "really?"; Starting with the fact that two of these dudes are marrying someone old enough to be their mom in cultures where that's not normal at all. As many others have mentioned, what in the world is in it for them; no way they'll be able to have kids unless they adopt I guess. Didn't seem like the lady in India doesn't have much to her name either so he can't be in it for the "money".

 

Another thing that astounds me is that some of them don't seem to make much of an effort to learn the language with the exception of the guy in Brazil and the other in Ecuador. So when the granny in India freaks out that she's going to be left alone for a while I can't feel too bad for her. "Dating" this guy for 5-6 years and can't carry on a simple conversation to go buy something in the market.

 

I somewhat get the point of the Ecuador lady. He's gotta be able to take care of things on his own and not be babysat in a culture where the man takes care of his family. However, it was still rude to not at least meet him or send someone to the airport; he is still her guest in a way.

 

They all took so much junk with them. It's like they don't think they could rebuild their wardrobe when they arrive. Why waste all that space in their luggage? Probably cheaper prices in those countries anyway.

 

I definitely think some of these things are set up. Granny in India says "I don't wanna be told what to wear" then in the next episodes she's wearing salwars (I love those dresses so much and I want them all). Or the Ecuador couple that are seemingly so opposite "have a house and kids" vs "I don't want that at all". It's almost too perfectly and dramatically different to be true. Of course they could also all be genuinely 100% wacko too.

 

The girl in South Africa needs to stop shooting the proverbial dead horse. It's dead! Make some glue and move on! That poor guy seems to be reminded all the time about his past mistakes. LET IT GO, good Looooord. You gonna drive him insane with your constant nagging! Guys know when they royally mess up and don't need to be told about it over and over again. And the whole picking up her dad in the casino. Don't tell me she wouldn't have known where he was staying...again I think that's a set up for some cheap drama.

Geez did anyone watch "The Family Chantel"?  

 

Pedro: I have to be a citizen to sponsor you to come to the US mom. It will take a few years.

 

Mom: Oh no, totally unacceptable. You need to MAKE MORE OF AN EFFORT! I am your mother! 10k! psh! You can't put a price on your mother. Try harder to get me a visa. More EFFORT less talk.

 

It was crazy. But it was also the first time (on camera) that Pedro rolled his eyes at his mothers demands since they were soooo unreasonable. More effort doesn't make how long you have to wait to file for citizenship as an LPR. Nor does it speed up the wait time. 

 

I've also come to believe the show is doing more damage  to immigration attitudes in the US then helping>  After the show I talked about it with my daughter and she started arguing with me about immigration processes!! She was adamant that the show said (so it must be true) that Chantel has to "help" get Pedro's mother by going to an interview and filing forms. I told her no. I can't imagine how Chantel would be interviewed for Pedros mom unless they are talking about a combo ROC/citizenship interview? 

 

Anyway- I'm also speculating that Larissa filed for VAWA. Just my gut feeling based on how she was talking and her not being so worried about court and immigration stuff. Many victims of DV (and I'm not saying she is or isn't) but many victims are falsely arrested for DV. It's a form of abuse inflicted, so its not odd for USCIS to get VAWA petitions where the petitioner was accused of DV. The VAWA unit will sort through it to determine if it was a mutual abuse situation or the USC spouse exploiting the court system to abuse the victim. Often they do not hold the arrest against the petitioner. I'm just posting this because there was a lot of talk online about how she can't file for VAWA after being charged with DV so many times and that's not true. She can apply and can be approved even though she was arrested many times for it. 

 

I don't think people realize how forgiving the VAWA system is.

Supposedly, she's a lawyer.  Riiight.  Like when he talks about his college friends.  He went to "colegio" which means high school.  In the same matter of speaking she's a lawyer.  LOL 

 

I think he meant that he would need Chantel's help to apply for citizenship under the 3 yer rule, if he's still married to her.  But she wouldn't need to come to the interview.  Not sure what that's about.  This show is full of inaccurate info and pure bad info.

Ashely and Jay update I saw.  He was released from ICE custody, His new girlfriend who is a stripper is pregnant.

 

Jay is now scrapping the bottom by dating and getting into a relationship with a stripper, talk about going for low hanging fruit.  Ashley probably will end up with a STD like herpes from the stripper.   

 

I wonder if Ashley is as trashy as Jay is, He is young and dumb but who in the heck messes around with a stripper?

Another grandma with another man 20+ years younger from Tunisia (hello!! Danielle 4.0) and her home is a dedicated shrine to this man 

 

Nail technician man - surely the way they met will be a big red flag?  Isn’t it like a broker? Also when the producer asked - do you think she sends those videos to anyone else 🤔😂 and the amount of money he sends her, seriously!? How many other guys sends her $800 a month I wonder 🤨 He seems like such a sweet guy who is going to end up broke and with a broken heart 

 

Still watching it now lol 😆 - this is my life as I wait for my EAD 😂

Grandma is SURE that the guy loves her.  Yes, because when he says I LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH, it's real.  She confirmed that she KNOWS it's real.  Must be when he says "SOOOOOOOOO", the more O's the more real it is.     And he has never seen her without the filter on her phone, so he will freak out when he sees that she looks her age, not the 20-something she looks like in video chat.

 

The nail guy is the perfect kind of sucker for these dating scammers.  He is very gullible.  He believes everything they tell him, and he really believes that a gorgeous Ukrainian blonde is in love with in.  Like somebody said, she's probably sending them to at least 5 boyfriends who send her money to live.  Well why not, she's too pretty to work.  And she does NOT want him to visit.  HUH????   I truly feel bad for him.

 

Darcey has fallen head over her $1100 heels again with a foreigner.  But this time "it's real love", whereas with Jesse "it felt fake".  I remember her saying the same thing about Jesse at the time.  This woman has to date foreigner, no American man is desperate enough to put up with her.  

 

What's with these people falling in love over email?  And in a month or two?   

 

And every episode has somebody saying "There's something that I haven't told..."  They are so desperate to keep us hooked.  No need for that.  This show is such a train wreck that I'll always watch.

You know, as stupid or as gullible as he is, I started feeling sorry for this guy. There are some evil people in this world, that can do this to someone...… It was brutal watching this guy starting to realize he is being scammed, big time..... It was terrible.

Looks like at the time they were supposed to meet in Mexico, Ukraine declared Martial Law for some of the country.  But according to this, the flights to/from were NOT affected.

 

This guy must know he's being scammed but he's in so deep that he's hoping against hope that she's real and doesn't want to cut his losses.  Do you think they will ever meet?  Possibly in some third country, but he will never see her in Ukraine.  She would never introduce a black guy to her family and friends.  That's not a very Progressive region.
