Newest claim about Jon and Rachel:  attorney-swap.   Seems Jon and Rachel spoke to a prior attorney - filmed by TLC - who declared the K1 Visa was a viable option.  (Supposedly) TLC wanted more "drama" so a 2nd attorney was consulted - who then declared a 3 year process.  When this was leaked to the public - Jon spoke about the first attorney:  "We spoke to the first lawyer in December, and he was slimy as f--k. I can tell a car salesman when I see one."

For a guy trying to immigrate to the US ... you'd think he would resist defaming a US attorney??

I agree - it seems to always be the same combos, and I know those cliché ones are "good for TV", but you can run something into the ground. I'd like to see something new and different. I'd like to see a Scandinavian couple, but for my own personally biased reasons :P Jesse was the closest thing, being from Amsterdam.

I had the exact same thought.  Same stories, different people.  It's getting a little old.

Also, TLC is still promoting it as if you have 90 days to make a decision if you want to get married.  No, when you proposed, you made that decision!

Naturalization:

12/13/18: File online application

04/08/19: Interview, approved!

04/12/19: Oath scheduled for April 26

04/26/19: Oath Ceremony! 🇺🇸

04/27/17:  Package received

05/20/17:  Biometrics letter received

06/02/17:  Biometrics

It does bother me that they portray a K-1 as a “try it for size” visa to see if you are a good match. All this “we have 90 days to see if we want to get married or not”. Hmmm so what was in the letter of intent?

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Grrr Jon and his “we don’t want to do the K-1 because I don’t want to have to ask permission”. Who does he think he is? What an arrogant individual. Nobody has the right to immigrate here. Even couples married for 30 years with a dozen children and grandchildren are not guaranteed to be approved. Every single one of us had to ask permission to be with our spouse. What the heck does he think a visa is, if it’s not “asking permission” to enter a country that’s not yours? Does he seriously believe that as a spouse he is automatically entitled to a green card? What a knob. Young man, you *will* be asking permission, whether you like it or not. And be prepared for the permission to be denied.

From the word go these two muppets have considered themselves to be something special. They need a huge reality check. If she can stop crying, wiping her tears and then staring at her hands long enough to get one. I’ve never known such arrogance.

Similar claims were made about Patrick and Miriam (from France) in a recent series. She's the one who had a boyfriend all along. Her Facebook page gives (or gave) her location as New York City and people made claims that she was an actress living and working in NYC and they set the whole thing up to get air time and hopefully further their careers. However, anyone can put whatever city they want on their Facebook profile (or any other online profile - my city here on VJ is listed as "Seattle, WA" but I live 2 counties away. I just put "Seattle" for a bit of anonymity). Some people put exotic (or what they perceive to be exotic) locations on their Facebook profiles. Just because she says she's in Florida, doesn't mean she is. It should come as no surprise to anyone that people lie on Facebook. Or make stuff up to appear more exciting than they are.

Yeah! Whenever we happen to pass by it during channel surfing, I get so annoyed with the whole "they have 90 days to decide..."

What is this?! A dating show??? It's a very expensive dating show!

Awww!!   Did anyone get a little choked up when Ricky placed Melissa's ring on Ximena's finger?!

Nope, She will use the  "Melissa" incident the rest of the life as leverage to get what she wants.

If they get married, I see them both pushing 300 lbs in  a few years

Jesse and Darcy break up was pretty good, It appears Darcy is nothing but a functioning drunk, but we all knew that.

Tarik and Hazel is an odd copule, She has the personality of a stick, I bet she is real fun to be around.  I have never met a female in the Philippines that gave up their kid to the father, seen it the other way many times.  She is just and odd duck and weird looking person, She still reminds me of ET.

Angela and Michael are still my favorite couple, and both appear to be very likeable people.

Pole and Karine are in trouble unless he can get her to the USA and cut ties from her mother influence.

With a 90 day visa into the country, it sure fits into the "try it for size" to me as well.

The Letter of intent is just another hoop to jump thru for the USCIS dog and pony show they like to run
