Me too! I just thought, oh it was probably just some bar fight from his younger years (which it might've been - just more than one, apparently). After all that came out, I told my husband it made me think about the earlier episode right after Rachel arrived, where the baby was BARELY FUSSING (I don't even think she was fussing, just jabbering) and he snapped so quickly talking about "can you make her stop crying, it's stressing me out". Really? She's been around you five minutes and makes the tiniest noise, and you're already losing it? Bad signs of a short fuse and kneejerk reactions.

I agree with you ladies. This is a grown man, not a 20 something uni kid out on the piss making trouble. What i found interesting also was, when they went to meet his friends. Jon sat there with a kinda of unsure look on his face while his friends were talking to Rachel about him. How they told her he was a womanizer, and about the drinking and brawls, i would have thought that would have set off red flags to her, same with his sister basically saying he was lying when he told her he only had 2 serious girlfriends. He has a short temper and if she can't see that with his remarks about don't let the baby cry, it stresses me, or just his excuse of how he grew up, like he HAD to fight to survive.  I think Rachel has low self esteem and is grasping onto who is giving her the most attention. She has 2 children, one who is with the father, and this Lucy, who we don't know who the father is, she made it sound like a one night stand type of thing almost, and Jon has been giving her the attention she wants, and here she is in UK.

But in USA it only takes a 2 year Associates Degree from a community college to become a RN. If you want to be a LPN you only need one year of school.

That is actually false.  Yes, there are two year programs, but including all of the science pre-reqs, they take more like 3-4 years, if you can even get in.  And nursing requires a lot of critical thinking and intelligence.  Plus, there is no way a nurse her age would earn so little as to have to work two jobs.  She would be at ~ $60/hour by 52, unless she came to the profession extremely late.

My wife became one of the youngest RN in Texas at age 19.  She completed her BSN in nursing by age 19.  I always thought that was fairly impressive.  She did a 4 year degree though......

I looked into a little. She's a nursing assistant. Still a very admirable profession. I have a lot more respect for her than Anfisa and Pow who want to earn a living by taking their clothes off. Not all of us are blessed with high intelligence so I don't know why people are being harsh about this. 

 

I don't know what tattoos have to do with anything. I have an MA, went to university on scholarship, and I have tattoos.

I guess Im in the minority but I didnt think the 60 fights was all that bad... 

 

Maybe its stereotypical (but even then its based on some kind of reality) but hasnt anyone seen the superwild soccer fan fanatics that drink and brawl. I got the feeling he belongs to that type of culture. Its not because hes angry violent. Its not that he cant control himself. Its like people who go in mosh pits.
