It is simple Maths. They quote the stats.

US currently has a 60/40 ratio of Female to Male College Students, and heading up.

You can see it in its most extreme form at Liberal Arts Colleges, apparently ladies called it GPS. So in these Colleges the ratio can be 75/25 and then you take out the gay guys and well the numbers speak for themselves. Happy hunting!

One of the reasons I have great hopes for VJ and  of course 90 Day,

Societies change, and obviously this is not the only factor, quite how it all pans out I do not know, there are far too many variables, just not looking good.

It was worse, if you can believe it. Jesse was the least worst part of it. Around the halfway mark, the guest lurched from "men need to take care of their bodies if they want to live long" to "women shouldn't be allowed to work outside the home and should stay home and fulfill their natural role as baby makers." Actual quote (I was taking notes): "sex out of wedlock is dumb. Now you're taking on a woman who has been run through, and the more sexual partners a woman has had the less likely she is to pair bond, science has shown that."  What science is THAT? He was also saying men shouldn't get involved with women who have children already, because it shows they can't keep a man. I cannot believe I listened to the whole thing.

Tonight I actually felt a little for Ximena.

Spoiler

She really should have told Mike a long time ago she couldn't have kids, and she seemed genuinely regretful she hadn't told him before.

Mike handled the discussion very well, didn't fly off the handle, didn't cave in, just said: we need to keep talking about this.

I won't go any further so everyone has a chance to watch first. In other 90 Day news, Season 3 of Darcey and Stacey starts tomorrow and I am definitely watching.

Most schools are trying to keep it at a 55/45 women to men ratio.

Only 2.1% of male college students identify as gay and 3.4% as bi, at least in the US.

Female students - 2.9% lesbian and 13.8% bi.  Good number of ladies have taken themselves out or have lessened the pressure on the straight males to get it together!

Just wondering how they are going to get it back down to 55/45, everything I have come across suggests it is going the other way.

My favorite train wrecks this season are;

Caleb and Alina,  If he's really into her, he's a better guy than me that's for sure, I couldn't date a Dwarf, but if I could, it would be someone like Alina,  she's smart, witty, sweet, attractive and has a beautiful personality.. Unfortunately, I don't see it working out, the different in size is just too much to overcome IMO, I hope it does work out though.

Mike and Ximena, He seems like a nice guy, his heart is in the right place, boring as heck and a little weird, but good intentions, His biggest mistake was getting on that plane without learning Spanish, it's nerve wracking when you cant openly communicate, Google Translate kills it!  As for Ximena,  she's clearly had a rough life,  a woman with very low self esteem,  who's trying to better her life and her Children's life, and willing to settle for just about any guy who will give her that better life.

Gino and Jasmine, what an idiot this guy is, reminds me of Big Ed, both have no clue how to treat a Woman,  Her Christmas gifts to him is a embroidered pillow and paired shirts, where she put in time and thought, his gift to her is Nothing,  Zero, no thought whatsoever, How hard is it to buy a $75 keepsake box with her name engraved on it? it doesn't have to be expensive you know, gifts are expressions of affection... And what kinda of guy doesn't shave or bathe before going to bed with a beautiful Woman? only a pig.. Yeah, she is a bit nutty and controlling, but I don't think materialistic, those clothes she chose were ALL for him, nothing for her..If anything, she's superficial, her implants look like they're going to explode.

Meme Reaction GIF by Robert E Blackmon

My husband thinks Alina is gorgeous (I hear this every time he pretends not to be watching the show with me), and as you say she's pretty much the entire package except for one big difference. Like you, it's too much of a difference for him to consider, which he says reflects more on him than on her, and of course we're attracted to what we're attracted to. He and I have a foot difference between us, and he said that can seem like a lot sometimes. He dated a woman at university who is even shorter than I am, and no lie, I did on more than one occasion think: how did that even work with a 15 inch difference? Then I stop thinking about it because (1) I don't like thinking about him having sex with someone else on a nuts and bolts, granular "how does this work?" level involving body parts and (2) I especially don't like thinking about that when the ex-girlfriend is one of my best friends now, too.

Thank you for mentioning the Gino/Jasmine dynamic. Jasmine's gifts showed some thought, even if they were silly -- as you put it, an expression of affection. She may be over the top jealous, but honestly I think she's been behaving with more civility than he has. She's not asking for him to splash money on her -- when he did ask him to spend money, it was on himself. She tried to get him to look a little nicer, but instead of buying something, anything to replace his athletic shorts, he refused. And then she waved it away because she didn't want to embarrass herself even further in front of her friend Leo.

Heroes of this episode:

Johnny's son Stony ("I like ice cream!")

The dumplings the entire Johnny Family were making

Mother Hamza (two weeks running!)

I am pretty sure this was in metric, but sometime back I remember reading that on average women prefer a man who is 8 inch taller and men prefer a woman who is 5 inch shorter.

5 inch plus heels well that could be not too bad. Each to their own.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

My ex is 8 inches taller than me, and even though he is kind of a vile person, I admit we looked less "weird" standing next to each other than I do now with my husband. Which brings us back to Memphis and Hamza -- I am pretty sure she's under 5 feet and he's over 6 feet. And since they managed sexy times it IS doable (even if we had to learn he finished very quickly).
