I kept forgetting what show I was watching and waiting for Nev and Max to pop up whenever they showed the dude and the Colombian chick. Video chatting her, and it looked like a gif, or a video on a loop???? COME ON. My husband asked me, "if we video chatted the first time and I looked like a gif, would you have come visited me?" And I said HECK NO (with other select explicative). That is crazy. I think my husband called it, and I'm siding with him - fake boobs/"model" like photos only, fake "video chat", sending her money.... Catfish. Or at LEAST someone ripping him off for money.

 

I like the ol' Southern lady. Maybe because her personality reminds me so much of many of my own relatives  It's an odd pairing, but I think her intentions are good. Hopefully his are too, we shall see!

 

The lady with the baby. I already can't stand her. I'll admit, before the baby came up, I thought they were a cute pair. The karaoke app thing was actually kind of sweet. And that alone, meaning they've seen each other in video, was a good sign. He seemed legit. But then it just went downhill after she said the word "pregnant". Perhaps it could be taken as endearing that he pays for the kid's daycare and wanted to come for the birth.... but oh dear. He couldn't get a tourist visa from ENGLAND? His record must be pretty bad. And knowing that there even IS a record... and he's still a complete stranger... you're taking your BABY. Dear Lord. No wonder she said her mother "a thousand percent" disagrees with her choices! I do, and I don't even know her. Not to mention - if he can't even visit, how could he move here? I doubt she'd move to England, considering her two kids. Criminal background does come up on both sides with K1.

 

Darcey Darcey Darcey..... *sigh*. I actually liked them last season. Maybe it's because Amsterdam takes me back to Gothenburg, and actually has nothing to do with them as a couple. Or people. At any rate - I'm not surprised, though. When he was trying to show her around his country, she was more worried about her high heels. So I'm not shocked that she's taken no interest in showing him around NYC and is mad at him for not caring more about her makeup or her "new look". Yes, it's nice for your man to notice physical attributes about you. But it has to go both ways. The first time my husband ever visited me here, we did a LOT of sightseeing. And even though none of it was new to me, I enjoyed seeing HIM enjoy it, and want to learn about my hometown. It made me happy. And particularly if he's the one who would be moving to her, she should be happy he's so interested in getting to know the area. Plus - I'm American and the first time I visited NYC I was absolutely awestruck. His giddiness is normal, in my opinion.

 

That being said - some of his comments/replies to her were off-putting. But perhaps he was just as annoyed as I was with her attitude.

 

No comment on Paul and Karine right now. They are such a weird couple.

From what I've read online, Mark and Nikki are still married, but it's doubtful that TLC will ever promote them/update anything about them on the show in the future, considering Mark filed a few lawsuits against the network for how he was portrayed (the lawsuits were eventually thrown out, but obviously would have soured TLC's viewpoint of wanting to work with them in any capacity).

That older lady and the Nigerian reminded me of people I know as well here in the South and it made me laugh so bad. I am so happy that she is not from the Carolinas but Georgia instead. You know she getting scammed really hard. 

 

That was exactly my thinking as well. When that first came up about her being pregnant and having a baby while still talking to him my wife was like "Hold up, she has a child by another man while still talking to this guy and he is ok with that?". You know his record has to be not all that ok if he couldn't come over on a VWP or a tourist visa. I doubt she will move there due to the older child's father probably not allowing her to move outside the US.
