Christmas Dinner?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It's so hard for me to get my head around this. I know some people are successful with only knowing each other a short time before marrying -- plenty of them on VJ -- but I couldn't. I knew my husband for 15 years before we got married, most of those as just friends, but I like to think we had a very good idea of who the other was before we got married. But I'm still finding out new stuff about him all the time. Like yesterday I found out he thought it was totally cool when he was 90 minutes late to his own company holiday dinner that I had shown up to on time, and at which I had to make polite small talk with people I really don't know that well for all that time.

Later at home, he learned that it is not totally cool and that also he owes me big time. Big, big time. I told him I take Venmo.

90 minutes late? How is that even possible? I would think the party would be over by that time. This is why I'm a fan of entering together. I would've sat in the car and waited for the husband instead of walking in alone.

Well, it was a dinner at a restaurant. The first hour was drinks and starters, and, well, I was hungry and the restaurant is amazing. I basically stuck around his assistant until he got there because I know her better than anyone else. Now this was highly out of character for him I will say in his defense, and we've been going through some big life changes (he resigned last week) and tough stuff (his mother is in hospital with severe COVID but improving). So he gets a pass this time.

The laylalex special has concluded, we now return you to your regularly scheduled 90 Day programming. :P

Speaking of which, on the last ep of Single Life, I 100% believe Jeniffer lied about not having sex with Cacua.

I'm starting to become a fan of your life updates scattered around the forum -90 Day lite. Hope his mother is released soon.

Has Single Life improved? I couldn't get passed the first episode but am willing to try again.

It's awful. But I can't help myself. Mother Debbie is the only one to root for this season which should say everything!

My husband and I first met in 1991, probably long before most of you people were born!

Some people here might have been more alive then than they are now. :P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'm so excited for this season! Before the 90 Days is hands down my favorite spin off. It's like a mixture of 90 Days (original flavor) and the now awful Married at First Sight.

I'm halfway through this ep and it's so good already. I won't do any more spoilers. Buuuuut, warning: Gino and Jasmine sucking face is

Frustrated Clint Eastwood GIF

@Kor2USA and @laylalex, are you guys on any of the subreddits for the franchise?   Some interesting stuff going on there!

I check in on the main subreddit and the uncensored one as well, which is where I saw all the OnlyFans stuff I never wanted to know about. But I haven't looked in a couple days. Going to now!

The OF stuff makes me want to gouge out my eyes and ears!  Especially the stuff from Karine and Pole!!

Oh:  and SteVen.  He is a legit sexpig.

OH NO GINO! His presents for Jasmine... he manages to rip off Big PrEd AND manages to make it creepier somehow.

Everyone needs to watch stat so we can discuss the many, many fine moments of this prestige television program.
