Thank you got around to watch it.. Was long and a real roller-coaster for me.... for a small guy Ed is super annoying... He has no respect and just painful to watch him get so judgy.

I think I have only made it halfway through. I play mp4s through my Xbox on the TV and it doesnt show you that bar on the bottom of how far you are exactly...

 

Its just so much to unpack! I could probably write a page about each segment! (but I wont).  Overall Ive enjoyed what Ive watched so far. And Im honestly a bit shocked at the number of people who are watching all 10 hrs of this! I dont think TLC ever anticipated people would sit through 10 hrs of a show. Typically shows only go up to about 2hrs before the audience loses interest- but I guess nowadays people are into binging so 10hrs is nothing...

 

There was one point where I felt a little awkward though. When the host 'steps out' and they leave the few people in the open chat and they talk among  themselves. Felt a bit weird to watch them talk about the fans being overly intrusive while I am being overly intrusive watching them like that. I think its one thing to be in a studio and theres a camera crew recording you when you are backstage- its clearly obvious they are gathering footage of you backstage so there shouldnt be any expectation of privacy. I suppose the same applies when you join a zoom chat with them but I get the feeling that they didnt realize when the host left its the same as being backstage with a crew. People tend to get more comfortable on video chat online and its easier to forget you are being monitored and recorded with out the camera crew in your face. But those segments revealed a lot so Im glad to have seen them.

 

I am glad that Yolanda has moved on. Its a shame that it took her being in a coma for a month to get over Williams! It was also odd to watch her fawn over baby girl Lisa like everything she said was gospel. That just shows to me its more important how things are presented to a person. When the PI came on and started saying how it was a scam Yolanda got all defensive because he was making it like it was her fault. But Lisa presented like Yolanda was a victim and the scammer was so skilled Yolanda fell for it.... Honestly the scammer was not that good. It was also cringing to watch them add Usman to the discussion. It was like Yolanda was being scammed by a Nigerian so lets bring in Usman, youre a Nigerian what do you have to say about this??? Answer for this. You represent every Nigerian man now so lets hear it! Of course he denies it but acknowledges bad people are there, they are everywhere. Very funny though to watch Lisa then be added and contradict everything Usman said. But did anyone else catch the name of the 'group' she kept tossing out? Some kind of scam busting thing she either created or is an active member of. Its called the SSA. ...lol. Isnt the SSA already taken by the Social Security Admin? But I guess if solja boy can plagiarize his name she can do the same. Lets just hope social security isnt flooded with people looking for info on Nigerian scammers now.

 

But David is the one that really gets me. He is a horrible man. Watching what I have so far I dont believe he is ignorant. He knows whats up and he doesnt care. He is laying a trap. Did anyone catch where he said he doesnt care about the GC and if they do then its an advantage you can use to hold against them? (holey moley). And how all his $ is protected so if Lana wants it she will have to be with him to spend it. He doesnt care if she has been stringing him along or using him as long as he gets her in the end. Very unsettling. Hopefully Lana is educated enough to know if she does come that she has rights, that he cant hold the GC over her, that he cant control her with money but sadly we all know from the countless posts on VJ that this is not always the case. David also seems like the type to bring her here on the K and then not marry her so she becomes stuck with no path forward and is at his mercy for $ and support. 

 

And I really do believe that David knows the story he is pushing is based on flawed logic but he doesnt care because it suits him. He twists a lot of things. He keeps insisting that because its a paid site that that makes it legit. Does anyone believe if you click on those ads for hot lonely housewives near you and pay to access it that you will actually be connected with legit hot lonely housewives? Well you must because it said so! Check the fine print man. Entertainment purposes only. A legit international dating site is an IMBRA broker. The site he is using is not IMBRA its for entertainment purposes and any connections you make on it are at your own risk. The company does not guarantee the intentions of the users. If you are going to pay for something you need to know what you are paying for- so either he doesnt or he is pretending. My vote is for pretending.

 

Also does anyone believe Lana is not getting paid?? Yes David, Lana is not paid for by the site. She works for an agency. Its a common staffing method for places. Instead of hiring 1000 girls who can log on and off at their leisure they hire 10 agencies who contract to provide 100 girls at specific times. And we are to believe that she works for this agency for zero money. That the only thing they give her is raffle style prizes which Im positive there is some truth behind that statement. It is very common for agencies like that to offer incentives for top earners but its in addition to their pay. And yes, most likely the computer she uses is owned by the agency- its another 'perk' you get from working for them. But the whole concept that she is doing this for 0 pay simply because its the only way for her to get online and have friendships is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard. I think he knows this but chooses to pretend to be ignorant about it.  I also think theres some truth behind Lana not being 'so well off'. She definitely gets by and clearly chooses to spend the money she has on shiny coats and makeup. Its costly to live a life of luxury but being strapped for money to support an indulgent lifestyle is not the same as being poor. 

 

In all honesty the ones profiting the most from this is the company that runs the website followed by the agency and then Lana. The industry standard pay structure for this is the company takes in 100% of Davids money. 33% goes to them for profits. 33% goes towards operating costs. 33% goes to the 'worker' which in this case is the agency. Of that 33% the agency gets of Davids money they do the same thing- 33% goes to their profits, 33% goes to their operating costs like providing Lana a computer, and then 33% goes to Lana. And yes I know 33+33+33=99 and not 100, but you try arguing with them about where that 1% is going, you either take your 33% and be quiet or dont work for them.

I think we can all agree that both Usman and Michael from season 3 are using these 2 pieces of trash,  (I won't refer to them Women, they are everything but that.) I do admire Usman though, also Michael from season 3, they have been very open about wanting to come to America, and acknowledging that marrying an American is the way to do it,  maybe I'm wrong but both appear to be good guys to me.  

 

I never like to see the K1 Visa program being abused, but when I look at the trash they've chosen and the verbal and mental abuse they have to endure to get a GC, they deserve it IMO.

I was also quite disturbed with David and his attitude toward Ukrainian women.  He talked about how they used to send catalogs that you could flip through and choose women.  And he said now he talks to each woman and "weeds out" the ones who don't meet his expectations.  He said you can even choose eye color.  It sounded like he was placing an order for something.  And later after they met he said "now she's mine".  If Lana were to come over here I would be worried about her.

You know theres a 1/2 hr sitcom called Bob hearts Abishola (maybe spelling that wrong) but its a romantic comedy on CBS about a heavy set average American guy who meets a Nigerian nurse. I assume it portrays the Nigerian women in an accurate stereotypical way which if accurate - they are TOUGH. Bob 'messes up' by criticizing Abisholas parenting and his Nigerian employees tell him since he did that its best to just move on and find another Nigerian woman! They portray Nigerian women as mean, bossy, no nonsense women with low tolerance for 'mistakes'.

 

There was also a post on VJ that got locked so I can not directly refer to it but one of the replies to the OPs issue was from someone from the same culture basically saying that as the man he is the head of household and its the mans responsibility to make the woman happy. Didnt seem to matter if the woman had crazy demands. Kind of the whole 'happy wife = happy life' thing but with no fine print that if your wife is crazy it does not apply. 

 

When you combine the two concepts above about men and women you can see how it makes sense for the relationships to exist between the 2 couples on 90 days. Which to me makes it understandable why the guys are 'OK' with this and points to the women being the ones who are 'abusing and using' them. Just like how in some cultures the women are expected to be subservient to the man- men who seek them out because of that are the bad ones. Same applies to women who seek out men whose culture dictates they keep the wife happy NO MATTER WHAT- because they have insane demands.
