This is like many N. American tourists I encounter in Nicaragua. They don't even speak the language except for "un cervaza por fay-vor" in the worst gringo accent ever or they just talk louder and slower as if that helps break the language barrier. They drown the local food in ketchup (or they look for ranch dressing) or they just go to McDonalds because "beans and rice? ugh so primitive". they comment out loud amongst each other "oh these people are so poor/dirty/uncivilized I feel so bad for them" not even aware that some people can probably understand them. They are shocked when their iphone/backpack/purse is stolen after they leave it sitting out unguarded. I could go on and on about the utterly dumb things I've seen them do.

 

I have witnessed all this at some point in my travels to Nicaragua... immediately followed by a face palm or my mouth wide open as in "did that just happen".

 

The majority of Americans don't travel well in the 3rd world save for a small portion of people who are the opposite. Not sure if they travel better in the "1st world".

They are no longer together, they have no kids together, but they want to play like they are acouple with a child.  They were never married but he said that when they broke up they fought about assets, property, etc.  WHO DOES THAT????  

 

And he drives a Ferrari, but can't afford a new ring for his Colombian amor?  He may not have enough money for gas.  

The Ferrari may be older or leased. You see this a lot in places like LA where your car means everything about you. So you see people with BMWs, Mercedes, and Audis. But they are all the base model of cars for that brand and it's because most of them are leased.

Qatar is not that bad for American/European Expats. It only starts getting bad when you move to the Filipino, Indian, Nepali, or Pakistani groups. That is when they start restricting your movements and where you can/can't go on certain days. They don't make women wear a head scarf. Not to mention there is actual 1 count it 1 liquor store in the whole country and a you have to put down a $200 deposit just to get a liquor license to buy alcohol at that store. They do have clubs selling way overpriced booze there. 

 

 

Source: I lived/worked in Qatar for 6 months and my wife worked there for 4 years. That is where we met in January 2010.

Leasing doesn't mean that you can't afford to buy.  Personally, I have always chosen to lease.  I'm in my 7th new SUV lease since 2000.  I do 3 year leases and then get a new one.  I get bored with cars after a couple of years.  I can buy them but the I'd have to deal with the hassle to sell and worry about somebody coming back wanting their money back saying that I scammed them... blah blah blah.   I don't care about paying a premium to "rent" the car.

That Evelyn is a nasty piece of work. I do have to say, she is honest about what she does and doesn't want with Corey. Basically his money, no family ect. How she talks to him is awful, but he has all these dreams of a house, bar and family with her. She is always demeaning him, unless he speaks up it will continue. I would have been on the first flight back after she didn't show at the airport.

Pole, pole, pole....Your wife is nothing more than a hooker. Men sending her money “to help her”? If they gave money and want to help, where were they when you needed a sponsor for her visa? She is clearly offering “services” for money. If it was genuine friendship and altruistic giving, why doesn’t her husband know all about it so that he can thank them himself?

So if anyone is still following the Jay and Ashley story this will come as no surprise to anyone. So Jay is out on bond and shacked up with the girl that started the GoFundMe for him. Also she is supposedly the girl from the bathroom as well.

My exact words when I watched that episode. Plus I never would have invested a penny before marriage and some time living together there. But I'm sure if he had not ponied up the money in advance she would have already dumped him...
