The Filipina is brutally honest.  She doesn't love him.  She doesn't even find him atrractive, says he's chubby.  She says that she's just  apoor girl nd he's her only chance for a better life.  Ahhh. TRUE LOVE!      Btw- If she thinks that he's chubby, she will love the average American man in his 50's.  But he's gushing over her (even crying at the airport... I was embarrassed as a man) like she was the most beautiful girl ever.  She's about a solid 6.  She made a impenetrable barrier (2 pillows) in the hotel room so they can sleep in the same bed and he won't touch her, yet she's ready to marry him and move to 'Merica.

He must be lonely by the way he acted when he saw her at the airport.  She is your average looking pinay, go to any mall you will see she is a dime a dozen looking female.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

She comes from a poor family with little to no education,  I was thinking she grew up in a squatters village.  She shed a bad light on a typical pinay.    And the no sex before marriage was silly.

I was thinking the same thing actually but didn't want to come out and say it.

Watching it now (this is kinda my guilty pleasure after the kids are in school....)

Jon- no way did he finish uni, he seems quite dim.

Darcy- way too high maintenance.  Jesse is not a nice guy, he is controlling, but he makes no bones about it, he is very clear what he wants from a mate and a relationship, and she is not it.  They could have fun together if she let the "marriage" thing go....

Colombia guy- I think we all knew how that would end.  Kinda wondering if this is the end though or if she will suddenly find love for him in her heart, so she can get a greencard (and the show must go on..,)

Filipina girl- well, she is honest about what she wants.  On camera.  Before her visa interview.  Dumb, perhaps, but I can respect that.  I've actually no problem with relationships like that, as long as both parties know what they are getting into, and do so willingly.

I just said the same thing on Reddit when someone said that she is good looking. I said she is average at most in the Philippines especially in Metro Manila.

I guess plastic surgery in Colombia is pretty cheap

Unsure about prices (although certainly cheaper than in the U.S.), but my understanding is that undergoing plastic surgery there is not unusual.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I was surprised she showed up, and I was surprised she looked like her pictures.  I guess plastic surgery in Columbia is pretty cheap,  I am thinking her breast are augmented from surgery.

If he would play it cool and not act like he has never had a girlfriend before,  he would have a much better chance than telling her he loves her when they first meet.  You got to play the game and be a coy and little reserved when first meeting.

Pao of Pao and Russ, last season, she is Colombian also and its obvious she's had plastic surgery also. I'm guessing you are right that plastic surgery is cheap there

We were talking about this on Reddit and someone else said that it sounds like they were playing it up for the cameras off of something they heard on American TV.

Plastic surgery is much cheaper than US but it's still relatively high for the average Colombian girl.  The women who get plastic surgery in Colombia are medical tourists, Colombian sex workers (strippers, hookers, massage parlor, etc), and Colombian women with money.  Average, non-educated, blue collar women will not be able get plastic surgery.

So if a Colombian woman has had plastic surgery (especially multiple surgeries), she is from a rich family, is educated and has a good job, or is a hooker.

Pao doesn't come from money.  And she definitely spends more money than she earns as a model, so she was probably a working girl/escort.  My latina wife and also our Colombian friend say that she was probably a prepago in the way she handles herself.

I think lonely is an understatement.  He started crying like a little witch at the airport.  She's not even good looking, but he went on and on.  Looks like the family is going to try to get them married (or at least engaged).

One time when i was going to the DR, i met an American lady who was going there for some surgery, tummy tuck and ####### lift. There is no way i'd have surgery in that country.

Be interesting to learn this Melissa's story, he made mention of her going to college.

I bet She said that to protect herself. She does not want to sleep with this guy she barely knows. That whole "I thought there were two beds" bull ! He knew it was one bed and was trying to get in her pants. Then when she's obviously uncomfortable in the situation he makes her kiss him so he won't toUch her. That is really rapey and disgusting. He's playing his power card like no other.

The same thing happens in Thailand as well. I had a friend in Afghanistan that had a literal list of plastic surgeries and how much they cost in both currencies. It was really cheap to say the least.
