PLEASE can we discuss how bad SteVen's proposal song was? I have PTSD. I noted how difficult it was for him to get out the bit where he was supposed to say "marry me" -- but he could not. He choked on the words. Look, my own husband completely fluffed his proposal so I can sympathize but at least we were not on a boat and he was not warbling off key on television.

Best part of tonight's ep had to be is Alina yelling "MR. CAT!!!!" and "MR. CATTLES!!!!" and "CUCUMBER!!!" at cats, and announcing "CAT COW COME OVER HERE!" This is me around cats. I have told my husband we need to move house so I can live somewhere where I can have a cat again. 

 

Maybe I will name it Cattles Cucumber.

Okay, I have had two bad proposals, and Corey's was probably worse than either. The first was the SECOND time my ex-husband proposed to me. Basically we had had a perfectly nice first proposal, at his parents' house at Christmas, and I was very surprised and nearly knocked over the tree but it was sweet and normal. Then we broke up 7 months later because of what I can only call some very poor online decisions by him and I told him to eat poop and die. He spent the next six months trying to win me back. He showed up unannounced on my doorstep right after I'd broken up with someone else, and I needed a shoulder to cry on and he was so-so-so nice. So he took me out for a schmancy dinner and in front of an ENTIRE restaurant of people he got down on one knee and said, "Everyone! I love this woman! Should she marry me?" And everyone said yes, and I was SO mortified and shocked that I said yes because I didn't want to embarrass him. Men, DO NOT DO THIS! Whether at Nobu or anywhere else in public. If we were in private, I would have told him he needed to convince me some more but turning him down in public just would have been humiliating for him, and I did still love him. Sort of! 

 

The second bad proposal was from my current and forever husband, who was trying to tell me he wanted to move in together before we got engaged, and it came out, "I don't want to marry you." As soon as he said it, his eyes got very round and he moaned, "What have I said? Why did I say that? I meant I don't want to marry you now. ####, that sounds bad, too! Christ. Please kill me." I did not.

The Granny in India is pressuring Sumit to sprint towards marriage now that his parents said that they won't object and astrologer gave the go-ahead.  The guy is very hesitant about getting married.  I don't think that he ever thought that his parents would sign off on the marriage, so he must be in shock now that he has to go through it.  I think he just wanted her to stay with him until he got tired of her and could boot her.  Now, it's becoming more permanent and more real and he's in a panic.  He clearly is not comfortable with what is happening. What's hilarious is that at first she was skeptical about the whole Astrologer thing that his family does.  But now that the Astrologer told them what she wanted to hear and got his parents to stop objecting, she wants to follow the astrologer to a tee.  He said that they could marry after 9 days, so she said that they should marry on day 10.

 

Ariela, her overbearing mother and family, are too much to take. She got angry because he continued with his life instead of waiting by the phone for the queen to call him.  It's not fair the way that she's treating him.   

 

*Why is HIS family sending Ariela messages about what is happening in their apartment?  Are they trying to sabotage their relationship?  It would seem so, yet they were asking Ariela to promise that she will come back to Ethiopia with the baby before she left for the surgery.

The women on the new 90-day Fiance season are a cliche.  My god.  They go on vacation to Jamaica, Costa Rica, and cruise, and of course meet their future husband, except that the guys didn't get the memo.

 

The one in Costa Rica got a proposal on her vacation trip when they met. Proposal in a week.  And like many Costa Rican men, doesn't mind sitting at home and being supported by a woman.  Then he has the stones to ask her to bring him a new cell phone since she's conveniently coming to visit him.

 

The second one goes on vacation to Jamaica, hooks up with a local, doesn't use protection, and gets pregnant.  And thinks the guy who admittedly has a great life in Jamaica hooking up with tourists and smoking weed, will come to the US get a regular 9-5 job, and be daddy to their baby.  

 

And the third one that met a Jamaican DJ/event planner (read: sleeps all day, party at night) on a cruise ship.  The guy has already cheated on her once that she knows about, and probably 50 others she doesn't know.  She's completely insecure, and can't handle a waitress recognizing him from a party he DJ'd.  And this is another one who is pressuring the guy for a ring (because the "will show me that he loves ONLY me"---), and thinks that this guy will come to the US and do a regular job, and life.  PLEASE.

For Family Chantal, I can't wait to see the reaction of the proud black family's reaction when River brings home a white girl, who is 5 years older and with a kid.  

 

At least they can't accuse her of wanting immigration benefits.  I'm sure they will come up with something about her USING the family.  Same old story.

Not a fan of River. I was hoping Pedro would put the well deserved smack down on him. Pedro seems like a really decent guy
