And most likely caused by bad wiring

More than likely.

Seems as if this was handled and no injuries or fatalities.

Seems as if they never determined the cause of the NCCC fire back in December that killed 38 people.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

I watch, so called, electricians connect two wires together by giving them a twist, then wrapping them in tape .. yikes!!   There is not a wire nut to be found in the Philippines is my bet ... well except in my spare parts box.

That is why I always try to send tools to Philippines when my wife sends home a BB box.  I will catch craftsman or Home Depot brand hand tools boxes on sale and send them. I have sent Dewalt 20v drills and impact tools.  I also send home screw drivers and socket drivers.

Lately I have been going to a Harbor Freight which has very cheap tools and parts and send all kind of nuts and bolts to send there. I also have sent home small digging shovels with fiberglass handles that are small enough to fit in BB box.  Hand Saws seem to be a great thing to send as well.

I know if I go to a hardware store they usually have a handful of bolts or nuts, and finding quality hand tools or power tools are hard to find there.

Depends on when it was built

I think the NCCC fire that killed 38 people was non functioning, and had been tested and someone said they were good when they weren't even activated.

Yeah they weren't even turned on so the mall went up with nothing to stop it. I will post later of a thread in a expatforum where we were talking about this exact thing and how badly electricity is wired in the Philippines.

Here is the main thread I was talking about but I also added another one where we were talking about construction costs in the provinces and what to be wary of when building a house. @Chris Duffy I think you might like this forum quite a bit.

I was a big fan of Living in Cebu for many years, but Paul sold it recently and it has become very dull and very few new topics.

I was on that forum a few times and it was cool because some of the members were calling other ones out for BS like shabu and stuff like that. Just like the website you posted the other day, I was going through it and one story was about a Kano getting arrested for drugs and the commenters on the story were like "Yep that's him and surprised it hasn't happened sooner".
