@TimsDaisy, Yes the NVC will mail you 2 letters. One when they recieve the petition, and another when they send it to the consulate.

@carla-justin, I have not personally been in that situation of not having a hard copy NOA2 before the interview. You just recieved your NOA2 via email on the 3rd, correct? Its likely that your hard copy is on its way in the mail now. USCIS mail seems to take forever. I wouldnt start to worry just yet.

feel upset

I am quite surely that NVC did mess up my petition !

I knew that the case which is to be sent to HK should start with "HK ..."

really feel like crying !!!

Dnt worry, Im sure everything will be OK, just give them a call tomorrow as soon as they open and ask them about your petition. No need to be worried in advance (haha i just sounded like my SO  )

the problem is fixed !

my fiance called NVC at 7:30am EST today and talk to the rep.

the rep said she had made a request to change the consulate which the petition would be sent to. she also asked my fiance to call back on Thursday to check again, so as to make sure everything's going alrite!

btw ... the rep also asked him to send a letter to NVC as backup.

Really thanks for the information that all VJers provided here ... those advice and information are really helpful !

Thank you so much

Hi. I wanted to let you all know that we received our hard copy NOA2 on May 3rd and I called the NVC office today and our papers were received and our NVC# was issued on May 11th.

The NVC said that our papers would be mailed to our Embassy in a couple of days. I requested a time frame for the delivery and the NVC office said that our Embassy would receive a electronic notification immediately and then they will mail a hardcopy of our papers to our Embassy. The NVC office said that I could call DHL and ask them the approximate delivery time.

Also, I was wanting to include a timeline at the bottom of my messages. Could someone help me with that? Thank you and I wish everyone very much luck as our journey continues.

Hi. No you will not need the original NOA2 for your interview day. But you will need the original for other appointments after your fiance visa is approved. So, keep it handy. Can you help me with my timeline? How did you get your timeline to be included in all of your messages and replies? Thanks you, MinhaGatinha.

Just called NVC after a few false starts with getting kicked back to the automated line. Operator said we have been shipped to London just today.

From others' posts, I know that might mean it just went downstairs to go out in tomorrow's DHL shipment, but I'll take it anyway!

Now to try to track it on DHL's site. VJers haven't seemed to have much luck with that lately, but worth a shot.

hi all.

we're in the exact same boat here -- NOA2 email recieved May 3, but still no paper NOA2. also, i just called NVC and they said that our case was actually approved by the USCIS on the 30th of April "officially." the NVC recieved our case on May 11th and is processing it now -- will forward to the Embassy in 2-4 weeks, but he said really should be sooner. i'm getting really worried about no NOA2!! the first one came so fast and i just live in AZ. glad that we're all in the same boat. that makes me feel better. it needs to come soon though -- i move at the end of the month and go to Ecuador on June 1st! i want to have everything ready, in hand. other than that, so happy that things are moving right along!!! :)
